Final Checkmate Weakness in Persona 3 Reload
Once you’ve caught yourself a Final Checkmate, these are the weaknesses and resistances you’ll want to take advantage of:
Since Final Checkmate has one weakness that can be exploited, which is Pierce damage, bringing along a team member who has these abilities is incredibly important. You can either bringAigisalong, who has a ton of Pierce attacks, or utilizeYukari’s Normal Attack, which deals Pierce damage.

An important thing to keep in mind during this battle is that the Final Checkmate increases its own Agility. To counteract this, you’ll want toboost your own party’s Speedto match the Final Checkmate. There are a few ways you’re able to do this, withconsumables such as Speed Incensebeing the easiest method. You can also equip some of your characters with Speed accessories, such as the Giga Speed Band or Speed Enhancer.
You’ll also want to remember that Greedy Shadows and Rare Shadows have a tendency to run away, so finishing the battle as quickly as possible is the ideal solution. If you have more characters on your team with the Pierce ability, you’ll be able to frequently knock down the Final Checkmate and perform anAll-Out Attack. This will make it easy to beat the enemy in just a couple of turns.
