Horizon Forbidden Westis one ofthe best single-player games on the PlayStation 5and does an excellent job of showcasing what Sony’s latest console is truly capable of. What Time Will The Burning Shores Be Released?
Despite some initial confusion and the times given on some regionalPlayStation Storepages, it now appears as thoughHorizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shores DLC will be released at midnight local time on April 19. It’s important to note here that local time is determined by which region a player’s PSN account is set to rather than the country they’re actually in, so players may want to take this into account.
It’s also worth noting that some people living in the United States will receive the expansion a little earlier, as the DLC will go live at 00:00 ET regardless of where in the country a person is based. This means, for example, thatthose running on Pacific Daylight Time will gain access to The Burning Shores at 21:00 on April 18, potentially allowing them to squeeze in a few hours before bedtime.
Those wishing to play through The Burning Shores DLC must first complete the main story ofHorizon Forbidden West.
As was the case withHorizon Forbidden West, players will be able to download the DLC ahead of time, allowing them to start playing as soon as The Burning Shores is released at midnight on April 19. According to the PlayStation store,pre-loads are expected to go live around 48 hours before release, meaning that those who pre-order the expansion should be able to start downloading it from midnight on April 17, local time. The file size forthe Burning Shores DLC is 16.763 GB.
Pre-Order Bonuses For Horizon Forbidden West: The Burning Shores
Those who pre-orderHorizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shores DLC will receive two special bonuses. First, they’ll get theBlacktide Dye, which becomes available right away and can be used by visiting any ofHorizon Forbidden West’s Dyers. They’ll also get theBlacktide Sharpshot Bowand theBlacktide Quen Commander Outfit, though these can only beacquired from merchants at the Burning Shores, meaning that players will need to wait a little while before they can pick them up.
