Topaz will join the roster as a Fire Hunt character, utilizing her Warp Trotter companion Numby for a DPS playstyle focused on follow-up attacks. Her concentration on follow-up attacks already looks to make Topaz uniquely fitted to synergize with characters like Herta and Kafka, who feature similar playstyles. Honkai: Star Rail’s newest trailer, titled “Expert Tutorial,” shows off parts of Topaz’s gameplay within a storyline centered around collecting debts from characters. Topaz is shown frequently using Numby for several of her attacks, with Numby gaining a follow-up attack against enemies hit by Topaz’s Skill and gaining buffs from Topaz’s Ultimate. The trailer features Topaz visiting several popular characters already featured inHonkai: Star Rail, liketracking down Sampo on Jarilo-VIand paying a visit to Asta and Herta at Herta Space Station. Topaz is expected to launch later this week with the second half of Version 1.4.
Topaz’s debut in the second half of Version 1.4 won’t be the only new characterHonkai: Star Railplayers can pick up following the shift. The release of Topaz will also see new four-star character Guinaifen added to the game, featuring alongside Topaz on her banner. Guinaifen is set to join the game as a Fire Nihility character, focusing around applying Burn to enemies and likely synergizing well with Topaz.Topaz’s limited gacha bannerwill also feature two other four-star units available at boosted rates in Luka and Sushang.
With Topaz set to release this week, HoYoverse has already begun to give some teasers about what players can expect fromHonkai: Star Rail’s next update. Version 1.5 will to introduce two new five-star characters to the game withHoYoverse revealing Huohuoand Argenti as the newest limited units. The November update is also adding one new four-star character to the game’s roster with the debut of Hanya. Between the launch of Topaz and more characters on the way,Star Railplayers look to have multiple ways to spend their hard-earned Stellar Jades.
