The developer has already teasedHonkai Impact 3rd’s Part 2 update will add an entirely new planet to the game with players traveling to Mars. The game has also teased major updates to its gameplay for the beginning of the second act ofHonkai Impact 3rd’s story. Now, HoYoverse CEO Dawei has given players their first look at the massive update.

A new trailer showcase fromHonkai Impact 3rdtakes a closer look at the major updates coming to the game with Part 2.Honkai Impact 3rd’s newest updatewill bring players away from the game’s central setting on the Earth and Moon and transport them to Mars. The transition to Mars will feature new environments for players to explore, introducing a completely new original cast to the game as well as unique NPCs.Honkai Impact 3rd’s Part 2 update is expected to arrive in February 2024.
Honkai Impact 3rd’s Part 2 update will also feature a revamped version ofHonkai Impact 3rd’s action combat, showcasing three new members of the game’s playable cast. The update will reportedly place an emphasis on three-dimensional combat withinHonkai Impact 3rd, as well as introducing new mechanics for enemies. The characters highlighted during the video show off a mix of melee and ranged combat, using weapons ranging from hammers and guns to even attacking enemies with a yo-yo.
Honkai Impact 3rd’s massive update arriving in February comes following significant events for each of its flagship games.Genshin Impactofficially released its fifth major region last month, introducing the France-inspired region of Fontaine to the RPG. HoYoverse would also launch its newest game earlier this year withHonkai: Star Raildebuting to roaring successin April, amassing tens of millions of downloads within just two days.Honkai Impact 3rdPart 2 will look to make major changes and completely overhaul the gameplay experience for HoYoverse’s longest-running game.
