Hogwarts Legacyrevealed today the Kneazle as one of the magical beasts players can interact with in the game. There are many magical beasts lined up to appear inHogwarts Legacy, some of which are among the already existing creatures in theHarry Potteruniverse, but some brand-new ones created by Avalanche Software will be also added to the roster.
So far fans could’ve spotted a few magical creatures that already appeared intrailers or gameplays ofHogwarts Legacy. The list is not too long just yet, but dragons, centaurs, trolls, nifflers, and mooncalves have already been shown off among others. But much more has been promised by Avalanche Software, and it seems it’s starting to roll out what other magical beasts will lurk in and around Hogwarts.

A video was posted today on the Twitter page ofHogwarts Legacy, showing a short video of the Kneazle. Kneazles have already appeared in many differentHarry Pottermediums, they made their first appearance inHarry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, but they have been part of various differentHarry Pottervideo and mobile gamesas well. They’ve been given a slightly different look in most of these releases, and it is possible there will be different types of Kneazle to encounter, but for now, the one in the video seems the closest to a Persian cat. In the video the Kneazle is lying on the ground, purring and cleaning itself while some useful information appears on the screen. The text talks about a Kneazle’s general appearance and nature and also mentions its useful qualities, among them the fact that they’re “highly intelligent and can detect suspicious or distrustful people.”
While there has been no official confirmation from Avalanche Software about whether players will be able to keep pets or not, based on the text for the Kneazle, the animal sounds like it could be a very useful companion for the player character. Avalanche Software has been very forthcoming with plenty of information, even when it comes topetting animals inHogwarts Legacy, but there are also details it has kept under wraps very safely. No doubt there are plenty of fans who’d be delighted to be able to return to their dorm room and hang out with their pets, even if they wouldn’t be able to take them on adventures. But when it comes to pets, fans are still very much kept in the dark.
The Twitter page ofHogwarts Legacypreviously released a similarvideo about the Hippogriffonly three days ago. It seems like a fairly safe bet to assume more videos can be expected in the future in a similar vein, revealing more of the wondrous creaturesHogwarts Legacyhas to offer to its fans.
