New information reveals that the PlayStation-exclusive quest forHogwarts Legacywill not come to other platforms for at least a year.Hogwarts Legacyis scheduled to launch next yearon February 10 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, but it features a quest that is only available to PlayStation customers for a set period.

This quest was originally announced at Gamescom 2022, and the developer showed it in a new trailer at the latest State of Play presentation.The quest is called The Haunted Hogsmeade Shopand it looks like a horror game. The State of Play trailer revealed that it comes with an extra dungeon, access to an in-game Hogsmeade shop, and the Shopkeeper’s cosmetic set. This quest looks to be quite substantial and interesting, but fans on other platforms will have to wait for at least a year to get it.

At the end of the newHogwarts Legacytrailer, it’s revealed that The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest will be exclusive to PlayStation customers until June 07, 2025. This date is set exactly one year after the game’s original launch, so it suggests that PC and Xbox players will have to wait till until then before they can play the Hogsmeade quest. Even then, the exact date for its release on other platforms is not specified, so it may take longer for the quest to become available.

Sony is known for having exclusive content in big AAA games to perhaps entice users to buy the PlayStation version of the game. Just a few hours ago, Activision revealedexclusiveCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2content for PS4 and PS5 users. PlayStation customers will have access to the exclusive Oni Operator Pack inModern Warfare 2, and this deal also lasts for a full year. So, fans on other platforms will have to wait until at least October 27 next year to receive the Oni Operator. A similar incident took place with the release ofMarvel’s Avengersas Spider-Man was announced as an exclusive character for the PlayStation version of the game.

Aside from the exclusivity news, the excitement aroundHogwarts Legacyappears to be extremely high as the game comes out in just a few months. It’s not the only big title coming in early 2023 asFebruary seems packed with exciting games. JoiningHogwarts LegacyareDestiny 2: Lightfall,Dead Island 2, andLike a Dragon: Ishin!among others, but any of these games can be delayed from their set release date.

Hogwarts Legacylaunches on February 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with a Switch version also in development.
