High on Lifeis ripe with trinkets and pesos lying around in hard-to-reach chests that the game calls Lugloxes. The clever design ofHigh on Lifeharkens back to a classic Metroidvania style that encourages the player to upgrade their equipment through story progression before passing back through and conquering obstacles that before were unreachable.
At this point in the game, the player has no doubt seen a fair amount of spinning fansthat appear to hold Lugloxesor other treasures behind their harmful blades. Passing through them is not exactly a hard task, but it does require a specific story beat that opens the door to a wide array of new opportunities.

What You Need To Get Through The Fans
In order to slow down the fans, the player will first need tocomplete the bounty for Douglas. This requires selecting the bounty on the Bounty 5000, traveling through Old Town into Dreg Town, and battling through hordes of enemies before taking on the pompous Douglas. This elaborate mission is relatively straightforward (insofar as anything inHigh on Lifeis ever straightforward). After defeating Douglas, claiming the Gatlian in his possession will grant the player the ability to conquer those pesky fans.
Sweezy
Like all the Gatlians in the game,Sweezy is incredibly unique. She’s a fair bit more confident than Kenny, and she’s very eager to take down the G3. As the player uses her to navigate to the exit in Dreg town, she will detail her wide array of abilities. Her automatic fire is effective for a quick shot, and her needles explode for additional damage if Knifey clashes with them. She also has a powerful sniper shot that has the capability to shoot through certain areas of cover.
But her most important tool is her special move. Just like Kenny’s glob shot or Gus’s razor, Sweezy has a special ability that actuallymanages to slow down time for a brief period. This can be used on fans to allow the player to pass through unharmed. It’s also incredibly useful to hop onto a moving vehicle and use it as a bridge between two platforms.
Once the bounty hunter has exited Dreg utilizing Sweezy, it’s crucial to backtrack through planets they’ve explored to unlock new secrets and gain additional pesos. Even if theplayer isn’t an achievement hunter, Sweezy is still a vital part of traversal through the following phases of the game and a great character to have along for the journey moving forward.
