Those interested in seeing a “demade” version ofFallout: New Vegasare in luck, as fans have done a 1:1 recreation of the 2010 game’s map completely insideMinecraft, even going as far as incorporating its own textures. Known for being anRPG series that allows for multiple playthroughs, theFalloutbrand went from a cult PC exclusive to one of the biggest AAA franchises in the industry, thanks largely to Bethesda taking over for the third installment and beyond.

However, when it comes to all the entries, many considerFallout: New Vegasto be the superior game in the series. While it retains the more action-RPG elements ofFallout 3and was built in the same engine, it was developer Obsidian Entertainment’s stellar writing and injection of humor that gave this particular release an edge. A lot of fans would love to see the team make a follow-up, but it doesn’t look like a sequel is in the cards just yet. In the meantime, players can at least explore a blockier version of the Mojave Desert.

As spotted by PC Gamer, some modders have replicated the world ofFallout: New VegasinMinecraft. Simply called “Minecraft New Vegas,” not only does the recreation have the same look as the post-apocalyptic RPG, though obviously with a distinctive voxel aesthetic, the team even incorporated the game’s many factions for players to join. A video gives a brief overview of what can be expected, and the footage is impressive, showing how much effort has been put into remaining as faithful as possible toNew Vegas. The implementation of role-playing elements and custom textures goes some way to suggest that this is more than just a surface-level recreation of a beloved game.

Players interested can access the server through the team’s Discord server and joining the “how to join” channel. It should be stated that “Minecraft New Vegas” is a multiplayer, role-playing experience and there are rules that need to be followed.

There have been numerous examples in the past of people rebuilding something from a popular franchise inside Mojang’s sandbox title. In November 2022, someone showed whatfamous locations fromStar Warswould look like inMinecraft, and there have been plenty of people who have done 1:1 reconstructions of real buildings.

As one of themost iconic video games of all time,Minecraftis the ultimate rags-to-riches story, beginning life as a project developed by a single person before going on to dominate the gaming landscape. It’s not surprising that modders would then use the game to recreate something likeFallout: New Vegas, so this build should be appealing to those who are a fan of both.

Fallout: New Vegasis available now for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
