The Covenant are still looking for the titularHaloArray ring along with artifacts to help them find it. Master Chief still has a squad and the show even begins without Cortana. The show borrows from the games and books to tell its story along with inventing new things to seem more original. Did season one leave a lot of plot details on the table? Let’s get into spoilers and find out.

8Are There More Keystones?

One of the new elements introduced in theHaloshow is the Keystones. There are other ancient relics in the video game series and the Keystones could be considered an amalgamation of other technology from the Forerunners. In the show, there are two Keystones displayed. Combining them was bow Master Chief was able to find out where the Halo Array is. Was that all the Keystones were good for or will they have another purpose? Also, if these Keystones are now worthless, are there other Keystones out there that can reveal more Forerunner technology?

7Why Were Master Chief And Makee Chosen?

Master Chief wasalways a man of legend in the games because he was a super-soldier, a Spartan, and also the last of his kind. By the start of the new trilogy, beginning withHalo 4, it starts to become apparent that Master Chief, or John, was a “chosen one” archetype all along. It’s not as blatant as it is in the TV show though. It’s never explained why John and Makee were chosen. Are they the only ones or are there others out there? Both of these questions might get answered in season two so here is hoping.

6What Happened To Kwan Ha And Soren?

Kwan Ha and Soren were a small subplot of theHaloshow that wraps up in episode seven. Kwan Ha, with the help of Soren, is finally able to defeat Vinsher Grath and his men. After they blow up the hydrogen plant, Kwan Ha gives Soren some money and he takes off.

Both of them aren’t given a single second of more airtime in the show as episodes eight and nine focus onMaster Chief’s trials. Is Madrigal truly safe or will another evil dictator arise from Vinsher Grath‘s ashes? What of Soren? Will he come back to Kwan Ha despite his resentment toward her?

5Why Didn’t Soren Get An Upgraded Arm?

There is another question about Soren that fans might have been wondering about since episode two which he was introduced in. A flashback reveals that Master Chief, or just John at the time, lets Soren go from training camp. Soren hadenough of the UNSCafter his arm got messed up during training. It looks mutated but it’s never shown or mentioned what really happened to it. Couldn’t Soren just cut it off and replace it with a better cybernetic arm? This is the future. Surely that technology exists if Spartan armor, spaceships, and clones exist.

4The Emotional Chips

The idea of the emotional chipsin the Spartansis played fast and loose in the Halo show. Master Chief in the games is a man of few words and yet he is talking up a storm in the show. He even cracks a couple of jokes and this is before he removes his chip. After he does, not much changes besides him telling people he feels different. However, when Kai removes her chip, she changes completely. Why wasn’t Master Chief’s change more apparent or why was Kai’s more expressive? Also, why didn’t they get Riz and Vannak to do it as well?

3The Cloned Halsey

The obvious answer is that the version of Dr. Halsey that is caught by the UNSC at the end is a clone. She dies which triggers a flashback for Miranda. It seems like Dr. Halsey might have been hinting at the idea of more clones of her existing as far back as episode three whenCortana was born.

Was the version of Dr. Halsey shown in most of the show the true doctor? That’s the big question. Was this a clone all along? It’s a big twist that comes out of nowhere so hopefully this gets explained further in season two.

2Can Cortana Relinquish Master Chief’s Body?

How Cortana isimplemented into Master Chief is different in the show compared to theHalogames. She is put directly inside his body instead of existing as a chip in his helmet. She is also given the power to take control of his body, which she does toward the final moments of the show. Before she does, Cortana explains to Master Chief that she might not be able to relinquish his body back to him. Master Chief is willing to take that chance. It might be a good inclination that a good majority of season two might focus on Kai and the other Spartans trying to break Master Chief out of this new trance.

1When Will They Get To The Halo Array?

Another focus of season two will probably focus on the Spartans getting to the Halo Array.Master Chief isable to summon the map of its location via the Keystones in the finale. Both the UNSC and the Covenant now know where it is located. How soon they arrive at the Halo Array is unknown. It could be the season two opener or they could wait for it until the last episode. It’s safe to say that fans have been itching for the show to get to the Halo Array since it was announced as a series. Hopefully, the writers aren’t going to tease this iconic location too much longer.
