As one would expect in aHalogame, one of the most common questions that new players are asking inHalo Infiniteis what weapons are the best to use. Thankfully, the game has a wide range of fantastic weapons for players to utilize, offering good balance and variety to the gameplay. Here are some of the best for multiplayer mode.
7VK78 Commando
The VK78 Commando is a fully automatic rifle that is making its debut inHalo Infinite.Like all rifles inHalo, versatility is the VK78 Commando’s biggest strength.
Although the gun is best-suited for mid-ranged battles, its fast fire rate can still get players out of tough close-range situations. Meanwhile, its accuracy and high damage can land players longer rage kills if they can keep the recoil under control.

6Shock Rifle
The Shock Rifle is a fantastic option for Arena matches on small maps with tight spaces. The rifle does decent damage in its own right, but its main strength comes from how it handles crowds. When an opponent is shot with the Shock Rifle, any otherenemies nearby will also receive damage.
The damage that is done to nearby opponents isn’t significant, but it is still helpful when opponents are guarding or capturing an objective, as, with the help of teammates, an entire unit can be wiped out in no time.

5Energy Sword
The Energy Sword is a quintessentialHaloweapon that has been a staple of the franchise since the originalHalo: Combat Evolved. The sword has always been a major threat for players insingle-player campaigns, and its strength isn’t nerfed for multiplayer either.

Unsurprisingly, the Energy Sword’s main weakness is its distance. Players have to get up close and personal with opponents in order to kill them with the sword, which is easier said than done when their opponents have advanced weaponry in their own hands. Consequently, the Energy Sword should be partnered with Active Camo whenever possible, as the partial invisibility will make it considerably easier to get near enemies without them noticing.
4Gravity Hammer
From onemelee weaponto another, newHaloplayers will be in for a shock when they first encounter the business end of the Gravity Hammer. Many are left wondering how their gun was bested by a single swing of a hammer, while their limp body flies sky-high into the air.
Like the Energy Sword, the Gravity Hammer requires players to get close to their opponents. Unlike the Energy Sword, however, the Gravity Hammer doesn’t require a direct hit to do damage, as hitting the ground next to an enemy will still send them flying.

3Skewer
Any weapon that canannihilate an opponent in one shotis always going to turn heads. With that in mind, players should start to panic when they see an opponent approaching with a Skewer in their hands.

Along with being able to one-shot enemies, the Skewer is also extremely effective against vehicles and aircrafts, making it invaluable in Big Team Battle. The Skewer is one of the most cinematic and rewarding weapons for players to use, as there are few better feelings inHalo Infinite’s multiplayer than getting a multi-kill from a single shot by taking down a vehicle.
2M41 SPNKR
The M41 SPNKR is a foolproof way to rack up multiple kills in multiplayer. Players wielding the rocket launcherdon’t need to be experts at FPS games to rack up kills, as the rocket launcher has ultra-high damage and a large splash radius that will finish off enemies with ease, even if the rocket only hits a nearby wall.
Moreover, like the aforementioned Skewer, the M41 SPNKR is great for Big Team Battle mode. The rocket launcher can demolish enemy vehicles and aircrafts, preventing them from dominating the map.

1S7 Sniper
The S7 Sniper is very different from the M41 SPNKR, in the sense that it is only a top weapon in the right hands. With the pace at which mostHaloplayers move, partnered with their shield armor that prevents one-shot kills to the body, inexperienced FPS players will struggleto rack up kills with the sniper.
However, for those with deadly accuracy, the S7 Sniper can pick off enemies from anywhere on the map with a well-placed headshot. Suffice to say, having a teammate who is skilled with the S7 Sniper is invaluable. Skilled players can set up camp and defend an objective with ease or simply rack up eye-watering amounts of kills.

The open beta forHalo Infiniteis out now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The full release is set for December 8th, 2021.
