When looking at thebestHalogames, Bungie’s third outing will inevitably always appear in the conversation near the top of the list. Redditor shtevay shared the impressive detail, which can be found in theHalo 3campaign mission, Tsavo Highway. At the very end of the level, players are able to look out into the distance. Among other things, players are able to spot the location where the next level, The Storm, takes place by looking through the scope of a sniper rifle. While it’s a low-detail version of the level, it’s cool to see that Bungie had planned for eagle-eyedHalo 3players to be able to spot where they’d be headed next in the campaign.

Halo 3’s The Storm Can Be Seen From Tsavo Highway

According to other players in the thread, it’s not the only secret Tsavo Highway holds. Early in the mission, players are able to see part of the previous mission, Crow’s Nest, too, makingHalo 3’s campaign feel extremely interconnected from level to level, especially compared toall otherHalogames. It was also pointed out that Bungie had to pull back on the ambition ofHalo 3’s campaign, although some of the remains of its plans remain in the game to this day. The Battle of Earth was planned to be a much larger part of the game, which could explain why The Storm seems to be so far away in the distance here.

While 343 Industries continues to update its most recent title,Halo Infinite, with a ton of new content, many fans of the series still pine for the nostalgic days of earlierHalogames. After all, it’s difficult to replicate the early online days of Xbox Live, andHalo 2and3were a big part of that experience. That’s why many believe thatit’s time forHalo 3 Anniversary. WithHalo: Combat Evolvedand2receiving remasters on their 10th anniversaries,Halo 3has long missed that deadline, but hope remains that 343 Industries will return to bring the game into the modern era. As of right now, it looks unlikely, but there’s nothing wrong with having dreams.
