Grounded’s Koi Pond is filled with valuable resources to findif you can surviveits dangers. One such resource is Lilypad Wax, a green, cube-like substance that players can use for manycrafting recipesin the game. However, the murky depths of the large Koi Pond can be challenging to navigate, particularly when swimming deeper underwater. While there are a few dangers to be aware of, fortunately, it’s not too trickyto find Lilypad Waxcompared to other underwater resources once you know where to look.
While Lilypad Wax features in various Grounded crafting recipes, it is particularly ideal for making underwater items, some of which become necessary to explore more of the Koi Pond and its secret underwater Pond Lab.

One of the easiest and quickest ways of finding Lilypad Wax inGroundedis to swim and checkunderneath Lilypadsin the Koi Pond near the Great Oak Tree, as highlighted on the map above. Lilypad Wax is a medium-sized nodule that drops from the flowers of Lilypads. However, you won’t find it on the surface of Lilypad leaves. Instead, it sticks to the underside of most sized Lilypads in small circular shapes. You might see whole clusters grouped together or just a single node, so it’s worth swimming about and checking the undersides of Lilypad leaves if you’re searching for a lot of Lilypad Wax. You also don’t need any special tools to harvest it. Just swim towards it and press the Nab button to collect it one piece at a time.
It’s also best to watch out forGrounded’s Diving Bell spiderswhen collecting Lilypad Wax, as these creepy critters often lurk close to the surface. Equipping a Gill Tube or other breathing apparatus is also handy for breathing underwater. However, you can also stick close to the surface for air or swim through underwater plant air bubbles to replenish oxygen when needed.

Once analyzed at a Research Station, Lilypad Wax is a Tier 1 natural resource that you can use to craft various food, armor, and other types of items inGrounded, such as:
However, you may need to combine Lilypad Wax with other crafting resources to make such items, such as the Gill Tube, which requires one piece of Lilypad Wax and two Eelgrass Strands.
