Even afterGod of War Ragnarokplayers have completed the main story and the credits have rolled, there are still plenty of things to do. Whether it is finishing up Favors or trying to reach 100% completion, there are still plenty of things for players to do. Aside from left over Favors, there isalso an entire epiloguefor players to enjoy.
There is even new resources that players can obtain to improve their gear further before they attempt to take on powerful optional bosses. One of those resources is called Hardened Remnants, and here is howGod of War Ragnarokplayers can find it.

Where to Get Hardened Remnants
Hardened Remnants can only be found after players have completed the main story. After watching the ending,God of War Ragnarokplayers will get a new Favor that involves tracking down the Remnants of Asgard. There are 10 Remnants of Asgard in total scattered across the Realms. The location so the Remnants of Asgard are as follows.
Lake of Nine (Midgard)
Well of Urd (Midgard)
Alberich Hollow (Svartalfheim)
Aurvangar Wetlands (Svartalfheim)
The location of each Remnant of Asgard can be seen on the in-game map as well. At each location,God of War Ragnarokplayers should expect to encounter some resistance from what is left of Odin’s army. Each location is guarded by Einherjar, and they are fairly high level as well.
The enemies will vary from a few Einherjar to a mini-boss, but players shouldn’t have any trouble defeating them afterbeating the final boss. Once the Einherjar have been cleared out,God of War Ragnarokplayers will be able to loot a coffin that spawns nearby.
Inside these coffins, players will find a series of unique resources that can only be obtained by clearing out a Remant of Asgard. One of the materials that can be obtained from the coffin is Hardened Remnants and large quantities of Hacksilver.
What are Hardened Remnants Used For?
Despite only being obtainable after beating the game, Hardened Remnants are used exclusively for crafting and upgrading armor, shields, and pommels. While it may seem unnecessary after having beaten the final boss, upgrading armor and weapons is essential if players hope to beat some of the optional bosses like the Berserkersor Valkyrie Queen Gna.
OnceGod of War Ragnarokplayers have gathered enough Hardened Remnants, they should go find Lunda and look at what can be upgraded with the Hardened Remnants. As depicted in the picture above, upgrading the Furious Maulfor the Leviathan Axeto Level 9 requires 10 Hardened Remnants, 20 Whispering Slab, and 16,000 Hacksilver.
