Unfortunately, finding these three torches is far from easy, withGod of War Ragnarokplayers having to manipulate a giant shield to gain access to the treasury’s roof and then find a way inside. It’s well worth the effort though, as Nornir Chests contain special items that can be used to increase the size of Kratos' health and Spartan Rage bars.
How to Unlock The Lost Treasury Nornir Chest
After taking care of a few raiders, players should have no trouble pinpointing the exact location of The Lost Treasury Nornir Chest. Unfortunately, the three torches that hold the key to unlocking it are nowhere to be seen, though players can quickly change that byusing Kratos' Blades of Chaosto pull the giant wooden shield that’s blocking the entrance to the treasury over to the left.
With the first torch now exposed, players can use a combination ofSigil Arrowsand the Blades of Chaos to ignite it, after which, they’ll want to climb the shield to get onto the roof of the treasury. Once there, they can destroy the explosives to knock down a pillar and make a hole in the nearby wall, which they can then head through to reach a new area. After the enemies have been cleared, players can then turn around and look at the passageway they just came through to reveal the second of the three torches up above them.

After igniting the second torch with Sigil Arrows andthe Blades of Chaos, players should drop back down and pull the shield to the other side. They’ll then need to climb up the shield again and head back to the pillar that they destroyed earlier. With the shield now in a new position, they’ll be able to use the Blades of Chaos to pull the pillar to the left. Now, if they drop back down and pull the giant wooden shield to the right again, the pillar will prevent it from going all the way across.
If done correctly, the entrance to the treasury should now be unblocked, leaving only some metal bars standing between players and the final torch. To get around this, players should have their companion fire Sigil Arrows at the two gears, turn the giant wheel to move the bars, and then throwthe Leviathan Axeat each of the gears so that they freeze, thus holding the bars in place.

When players head inside the treasury the bars will slam shut again, but destroying the wooden mechanism to the right of the door will open them right back again. This allows the player’s companion to enter the treasury, and players can then use their sigil arrows andKratos' Blades of Chaosto ignite the final torch and break the seal on The Lost Treasury Nornir Chest.
Inside the chest, players will find either an Idunn Apple or a Horn of Blood Mead, which can be used to increase Kratos' maximum health and Spartan Rage meters respectively. That is, assuming the player hasn’t already opened 30 Nornir Chests, in which case, they’ll instead be treated to some Hacksilver or a high-value item likeShattered Runes.
