A lot can be said about video games that allow players to do what they want, when they want, with little to no consequences. WithGoat Simulator, players romp around various levels destroying homes, licking everything in sight, and headbutting anyone who stands in the way of the chosen goat, Pilgor.Goat Simulator 3was featured atGamescom 2022with an action-packed trailer showcasing the best aspects of being a goat.
In traditionalGoat Simulatorfashion, there seems to be no end to the madness possible as fans get a fast-paced glimpse at the different styles of goat available to choose from with a wardrobe function, which includes shoes, hats, and outfits. Pilgor is then shown cavorting around quite a few different levels, sometimes with friends, and playing different games along the way. At the end of the trailer, it is revealed that the game is available for “pre-udder” and set to be released July 12, 2025.

A scenic, winding camera tour of a quaint-looking farm turns into a closeup of Pilgor the goat, who gives a scream before the trailer launches into showcasing what makesGoat Simulatorsuch a strange simulation game, including Pilgor getting swallowed by a whale and watching a banana mascot dance. There are a number of mini-games teased as well, with something that looks like the floor is lava, plenty of tractor launching, and even racing with other goats. The trailer continues onward in this fashion, only offering a momentary respite at a yoga studio, which is then promptly destroyed.
Even though there are new features and levels, some things stay the same between the two games, with the humans in theGoat Simulatorworld maintaining their ragdoll-like way of flopping around after getting in Pilgor’s way, honoring thepurposefully terrible approachGoat Simulatorhas to physics. Coffee Stain North takes an outlandish standpoint on how it wants its simulators played, which is much in evidence with the sudden inclusion of a medieval setting in theGoat Simulator 3trailer.
Given that there wasn’t a straight answer provided as to whyCoffee Stain has jumped fromGoat SimulatortoGoat Simulator 3, skipping a sequel altogether, it might not come as that much of a surprise that the trailer was stuffed with wild improbabilities.
Goat Simulator3will be available to play July 31, 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
