Summary

Fontaine’s Archon Quests may have come to an end, but the exploration certainly hasn’t. With new map areas, world quests, and hundreds of treasure chests to unlock, players have been running, climbing, and now swimming through all thatGenshin Impact’sNation of Justice has to offer.

A new group of challengers joins the ranks in the league ofFontainian Local Legends, mini-bosses that players can stumble upon, whether underwater or on land. There are fourteen Local Legends to find in Fontaine, each varying in difficulty, elemental weaknesses, and even species.

The Ocean Circuit Judge awaits players in Genshin Impact

Please note that this list includes the Local Legends of Fontaine that are available to fight immediately, excluding Mageblade Corrouge and Deianeira of Snezhevna, as their fights are locked behind World Quests.

12Ocean Circuit Judge

The Ocean Circuit Judge is a massive crab waiting for a game of tennis — he shoots unsuspecting fish at players and, with the Xenochromatic Crab’s shielding ability in hand, players can volley them back to deal massive damage. Easily saidanddone.

Where To Find The Ocean Circuit Judge

The Ocean Circuit Judge is hiding in plain sight in The Great Fontaine Lake south of the Court of Fontaine.Dive underwaterfrom the teleport point directly north of the Beryl Region’s Statue of The Seven, and he’s guarding a chest nearby.

11Iron Viscount

The Iron Viscount’s battle works identically to the Ocean Circuit Judge’s: tennis with poor pufferfish. Players may finish the boiling water puzzle required to find him and stumble across his fight without knowing what to do first — the element of surprise works for everyone, including crabs.

Where To Find The Iron Viscount

Players can find the Iron Viscount in an underwater cave in Elynas, just south of the Statue of The Seven in the Beryl region. After completing the boiling water puzzle in the hot spring, a water teleport will appear that will take them to the cave where the Iron Viscount awaits a challenge.

10Rocky Avildsen

Rocky is one of two regular humans in the Local Legends. He fights based on brute strength and flying fists - no elemental affinity to be found. Because of this, he’s a relatively simple fight, especially for players who can dodge (or shield) against his hard-hitting punches.

Where To Find Rocky Avildsen

Rocky stands guard northeast of the Weeping Willow of The Lake, and can be found loitering in front of a small hut.

9The Fairy Knight Twins & The Swords of The Gorge

These Local Legends are identical in play-style, attacks, and weaknesses — they’re both, also, relatively easy to fight. They’re both twin pairs of Hunter Rays who fight in tandem, attacking unsuspecting players with watery blades. However, with the Xenochromatic Hunter Ray’s ability, players can slice through both Legends' charged attacks and deal massive damage to both Hunter Rays at once.

Where To Find The Fairy Knight Twins

The Fairy Knight Twins are found northeast of the Pale Forgotten Glory domain, underwater in the Salacia Plain.

Where To Find The Swords of The Gorge

The Swords of The Gorge guard the Thalatta Submarine Canyon, found by diving northeast of theCourt of Fontaine.

8Fading Veteran & Dobharcu, Lord of The Hidden

The Fading Veteran and Dobharcu are another pair of Local Legends with identical battle mechanics, but these two are giant Blubberbeasts who rely on Sonar Wave attacks to stun and damage players. However, with the Xenochromatic Blubberbeast’s ability, players can hit them with a taste of their own medicine, and send these two Local Legends back to the watery depths.

Where To Find The Fading Veteran

The Fading Veteran swims among shipwrecks in the Elton Trench, northeast of the Statue of The Seven in the Beryl region.

Where To Find Dobharcu, Lord of The Hidden

Dobharcu hides underwater in the Chemin de L’Espoir, to the east of the Hydro Tulpa.

7Ninianne of The Lake

Ninianne is an elemental who attacks with impressive Hydro AOE effects and spinning attacks, but she has quite a few weaknesses, as she’s entirely made of Hydro. With a strongHyperbloomorVaporizeteam, Ninianne will be nothing more than a puddle on the sand in no time.

Where To Find Ninianne of The Lake

Ninianne waits for a fight on the northern edge of the Beryl region, among the bone-like rock structures that make up the top of the beach.

6Vivianne of The Lake

Vivianne is very similar to Ninianne, but her attacks are much more fatal for the unsuspecting (or unshielded) player. With her water beam and cannons, she can deal massive damage that can take out team members with one hit! A strong shield (or good instincts to dodge) is necessary for Vivianne’s fight, as well as Hyperbloom or Vaporize reactions to leave her swimming with the fishes.

Where To Find Vivianne of The Lake

Vivianne awaits players north of the Court of Fontaine, at the end of the aqueduct north of the Echoes of The Deep Tides domain.

5Automated Supercomputing Field Generator

The Automated Supercomputing Field Generator works similarly to the Experimental Field Generator, as they both turn off the gravity in their respective battlefields to provide higher jumps and more plunging attack opportunities (for the Xiao mains out there). However, the Local Legend has a shield that must be destroyed before any attacks can send it back to the scrap shop.

This boss isn’t especially difficult, but the shield proves a challenge to players who may not have strong Geo characters to break it. Characters like Zhongli, Noelle, Arataki Itto, or others who provide lots of Geo application can help tackle it.

The Iron Viscount broods in his cave

Where To Find The Automated Supercomputing Field Generator

Northeast of the Central Laboratory Ruins, there’s a patch of land with no grass where the Automated Supercomputing Field Generator awaits a battle.

4Liam

The illustrious Liam is the second of the two regular Fontainian men in the Local Legends. He fights with a combination of guitar rocking and various potions that apply area of effect (AOE) circles on the floor that deal Pyro and Electro damage, which earns him his place as the fourth most tedious fight, as the Overloaded reactions from his potions can make defeating him pretty hard. Get him to exit stage left by turning his own attacks against him; drench him in Hydro before he applies either of his potions to the ground beneath his feet.

Where To Find Liam

Liam awaits a duel east of the Weeping Willow of The Lake. Teleport to the waypoint southeast, and he’s near a small pond along the path.

3Chassanion

Chassanion relies on the Xenochromatic Jellyfish’s ability to deal damage to it, and it deals massive damage with its tracking bubble attacks. Chassanion also takesdamage from underwater attacksother than the Xenochromatic Jellyfish ability’s bombs, making this battle a bit easier to chip away at — if more time-consuming as a result.

Where To Find Chassanion

Chassanion hides underneath the Tower of Ipsissimus in the Morte Region; there’s a large, round structure on the sea floor that he swims above. Look for that, and find a worthy rival.
