One of the first puzzles thatGenshin Impactplayers are likely to encounter in the Golden Apple Archipelago involves various murals scattered throughout the islands. While finding all 5 murals will rewardGenshin Impactplayers with significant amounts of primogems, there is also a separate puzzle tied to one of the murals that rewards players with an even larger treasure haul.
South of the Broken Isle waypoint, players will encounter a breakable wall on the beach, that when broken with the Wind Blessed Harpastum gadget reveals a hidden cavewith a mural inside. What players may not realize is that the image shown on the mural depicts the solution to a separate puzzle in the Broken Isle region.

Broken Isle Pond Puzzle Guide in Genshin Impact
In the picture, players will notice drawings of five ponds, with a specific level of water inside. In the center of the mural, there is also a compass that depicts in what direction the pond is found on the island. To solve the puzzle, players must travel to each of the five ponds and set the water to the level that is indicated in the mural. To make things easier, players should photograph the mural for reference when traveling to each of the ponds.
The first pond can be found by traveling to the island northwest of theBroken Isle waypoint. At the pond, players must interact with the rocks next to the water and set the level to theMIDDLEmark.
The second pond is found by traveling directly west of the Broken Isle waypoint. At this pond, players will notice there is no water inside the pit. In order to fill the pit, players must break thehydro stonenext to the pond and then set the water level to theHIGHESTmark.
The third pond location is found directly next to the Broken Isle waypoint. At this pond, players need to set the water level to theLOWESTmark.
The fourth pond is located to the far east of the Broken Isle waypoint. At this pond, players must set the water level to theMIDDLEmark.
The fifth and final pond is located on the island northeast of the Broken Isle waypoint. Like the second pond, this pond also has no water inside of the pit. To fill the pit, players mustclimb the mountain, andbreak the rocksabove the pit in order for water to begin rushing into the pond. Once the pond has been filled, players must set the water level to theLOWESTmark.
With each of the pond levels set, players must now travel to the beach directly north of the Broken Isle waypoint. At the beach, players will notice a group of pillars with a series of buttons that are reminiscent of the compass found in the mural.
Players must then press the buttons in the order ofSOUTH-WEST-NORTHEAST-NORTHWEST- EAST. Once the buttons have been pressed in the correct order, the puzzle will be completed andone luxurious chestand two precious chests will spawn.
