Player Mistakes
Back to All Characters
One of the first characters released inGenshin Impact, Fischl has been a staple in many players' builds for an extended period of time, despite the initial underwhelming reactions associated with the Electro element. Nevertheless, with the laterintroduction of Dendro reactions, Electro has risen in popularity, and more and more Electro characters have seen the benefits of this synergy. Undoubtedly, Fischl is also one of these characters who has gained popularity for her Electro application and sub-DPS capabilities, even though her general popularity has declined significantly after the release of characters such as Yae Miko or Raiden Shogun, who also contribute to the team in similar aspects.

With the release ofGenshin Impact’s latest region expansion in its version 4.0 update, players have been introduced to the Fontaine region, along with new characters, gameplay mechanics, weapons, and artifact sets to explore. Luckily, Fischl is one of the previously released characters who can significantly benefit from these additions, as players now have even more options to choose from for both her artifacts and her weapon choices. Considering that Fischl can function as both an on-field physical DPS and an off-field Electro DPS character, there are many aspects to consider. Nevertheless, players will likely benefit more from utilizing her as an off-field DPS, as this aspect of her kit has seen the most advancement. With that in mind, the best build for her will focus on enhancing her sub-DPS utility.
Fischl Builds - Best Weapon
Fischl is quite straightforward to build when it comes to her sub-DPS setups, as she has access to a wide variety of bow options that enhance her damage through Oz, even when she is off the field. With that in mind, one of the best weapon choices to consider for her is Polar Star. This weapon not only increases her Oz’s damage without any conditions, but it can also grant Fischl additional ATK through the added stacks that activate each time Fischl or Oz hits an enemy. The secondary stat of this weapon is Crit Rate, which also makes it easier for players to build Fischl effectively. However, since it is a 5-star weapon, many players may not have an available copy of it for Fischl.

Luckily, thanks to the addition ofnew forgeable weaponsin the Fontaine region, players interested in pursuing an entirely free-to-play approach can also equip Fischl with the Song of Stillness. When max refined, this weapon provides a 32% DMG increase, along with its second stat that allows Fischl to gain a significant amount of ATK. It’s important to note, however, that this weapon requires Fischl to be healed in order to activate its effect. Therefore, it’s recommended to pair her with ahealer character such as Baizhu or Kokomi, who can heal off-field characters, making it easier to activate the effect.
An alternative weapon for players planning to use Fischl as soon as possible but haven’t yet unlocked the forgeable weapon recipe is the Alley Hunter. This weapon provides ATK with its secondary stat and increases DMG output as long as Fischl is off-field. This synergizes well with the new artifact set, Golden Troupe. For those intending to employ Fischl primarily for her Electro Elemental Reactions, The Stringless could be highly beneficial. Additionally, playersseeking a more supportive rolefor Fischl that provides added benefits to the team might find Elegy for the End advantageous.

Fischl Builds - Best Artifacts
Alongside benefiting another Electro off-field character, Yae Miko, the newly added Golden Troupe set also significantly benefits Fischl, as long as players intend to utilize her strictly off-field. This is because, while this artifact’s 2-piece set bonus increases Elemental Skill DMG, most of its benefits come from equipping 4-pieces, as it triples this effect. With that, players can simply swap to Fischl to activate or relocate Oz, and quickly swap away to other characters. For those who want to take a hybrid approach or have other artifact sets with optimal sub-stats, they may also want to consider utilizing only 2 pieces of the Golden Troupe set alongside 2 pieces of Thundering Fury. Additionally, equipping Thundering Fury as a 4-piece set or pairing it with EM or ATK set bonus pieces remains a viable option.

As for the stats, players can generally follow a typical main or sub-DPS character’s stat priority that scales with ATK. As such, players can utilize an ATK timepiece, Crit Rate or Crit DMG circlet, and an Electro DMG goblet. Those who are interested in focusing on Elemental Reactions instead can prefer to usean Elemental Mastery timepieceinstead of ATK%. Sub-stats also reflect this, with the priority being on Crit DMG, Crit Rate, and ATK or EM sub-stats.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
