The upcoming Hydro Region is definitely the most anticipated area inGenshin Impact. Thanks to the previous Livestream where the ability to explore underwater and interact with some marine creatures was teased, Fontaine quickly became even more desired byGenshin Impactplayers.
Other than underwater exploration, there are many more exciting features in Fontaine like new enemies, bosses, weapons, characters, and many more. Travelers do need to unlock the Land of Justice from Sumeru, which means exploring the Land of Wisdom is crucial before heading to the Court of Fontaine.

New Characters
Three new characters have been confirmed in the newGenshin Impact4.0.Lyneyis a 5-Star Pyro character that uses the Bow, while his sisterLynetteis a 4-Star Sword-wielding Anemo character. There is alsoFreminet, a 4-StarClaymore Cryo character inGenshin Impact.
There are other characters involved in the upcoming Archon Quests:
Wish Banner: Lyney + Yelan, And Childe + Zhongli
For the first phase of the Wish Event, players will have another chance to pullYelanalong with the new 5-Star characterLyney.
As for the second phase of the Wish Event, bothChildeandZhongliwill have a re-run banner, and their half will feature Freminet.

New Weapons
There are a bunch of new weapons introduced in version 4.0:
Underwater Exploration
The most anticipated feature is probably the underwaterexploration inGenshin Impact4.0. It’s revealed that there will be no Oxygen or Stamina limit underwater so that players can explore to their heart’s content without restriction. However, there is an Aquatic Stamina bar used for sprinting underwater, which can be recovered quickly by touching Recovery Orbs.
Other than the large ocean, there are also floating bodies of water in the air that can be explored and used as a shortcut inGenshin Impact.
New Exploration Mechanics
While exploring the underwater area in Fontaine, Travelers canabsorb abilities from certain Fontemer Aberrantssuch as the Armored Crab.
Travelers may also encounter two crucial sources of energy;Ousia and Pneuma. Both are quite the opposite and merging the two will result in an annihilation reaction which generates energy that’s useful forpuzzle-solving inGenshin Impact.
New Map
While Fontaine has an underwater area to explore, Travelers will also get to roam around the Court of Fontaine above. The court has two distinctive districts; one is theResidential Districtwhere everyone lives while the other is theLower Districtwhich is characterized by poverty and disorder.

New Quests
There’s the obvious Archon Quest Chapter IV as well as Lyney’s Story Quest “The Forgotten Thief” which will be released in version 4.0.
New Enemies
Fontaine is a highly advanced Region that’s filled with intelligent machines calledClockwork Meka. They were manufactured by Fontainians for production and defense and each model has a purpose. Players will encounter some patrolling the main city, guarding treasures underwater, and many more.
Travelers may also stumble upon a stronger version of theFontemer Aberrantsthat have developed body parts rich in Elemental Energy.
New Bosses
The new Fontaine boss,Icewind Suite, is composed of two upgraded versions of the Clockwork Meka; Dirge of Coppelia and Nemesis of Coppelius.
Another boss is theEmperor of Fire and Ironwhich is usually found in a cavern.
New Event
The main event will beMega Meka Meleein which players help Leschots Clockwork Workshop with a difficult Commission and the rewards include Primogems, level-up materials, Mora, and more importantly a chance toget Bennett for free inGenshin Impact.
