AGenshin Impactleak has revealed more information about which characters might be featured on the Limited Character Banner in the foreseeable future. Character re-runs allow players to acquire characters whose release they might have missed. Developer HoYoverse has introduced a pattern of featuring re-runs for a specific character approximately every 5 to 6 updates.The ongoing banner cycle features a new five-starGenshin Impactcharacter named Baizhu and one of the oldest units in the roster, the Cryo bow user Ganyu. According to the leak, the two playable units that are locked for 3.8 are the Cryo claymore character Eula and the Pyro user Klee. Eula is a descendant of the infamous Lawrence Clan, and she currently serves as the captain of the Reconnaissance Company with the Knights of Favonius. At the moment, she holds the record for skipping the highest number of consecutive banners in the game’s history with 12 missed updates.Eula’s last re-run was over 500 days agoback in version 2.3 in which she was released alongside the Geo user Albedo on the game’s first double banner.
In comparison, another Geo character named Arataki Itto who was part of the second banner cycle of the same update has received two re-runs since then. The leaker has confirmed that Eula will be the main character inGenshin Impactversion 3.8 which means that she will probably receive a new Story Quest. The fact that she will play a major role at the end of the Sumeru arc is probably the main reason whyHoYoverse keeps delaying Eula’s banner appearance.
The Pyro user Klee will also be a part of the same update which led many players to believe that version 3.8 will most likely host the Golden Apple Archipelago. This annual event was first arranged by Klee’s mother, thepowerful Mondstadt mage known as Alice.
According to HutaoLover77’s comments, there is a high chance that the popularHydro catalyst user Sangonomiya Kokomiwill also be one of the featured characters inGenshin Impactupdate 3.8. Her last appearance was way back in update 3.0 in which she appeared alongside the Dendro bow user Tighnari.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
