Recently, Xbox posted an update on its website detailing some of the features coming toForza Horizon 5. Specifically, these features dealt with accessibility. According to Xbox, there are more than 400 milliongamers with disabilities in the world. The company wishes to make its new racing game inviting to all players by allowing them to customize their gameplay experience.

Among the myriad of features meant to help all types of players enjoyForza Horizon 5is the addition of sign language support for cinematics. The feature works by having a picture-in-picture display close to the bottom of the screen containing an interpreter. One of the highlights of this feature includes the ability to choose whether the interpreter signs in American Sign Language or British Sign Langauge. While this feature is not available at launch, the developer noted that it is coming soon as part of a post-launch update.
This is just one of many accessibility options coming to theForza Horizon 5. According to the blog post, the developers closely followed the Xbox Accessibility Guidelines when designing the accessibility features for the game. One intriguing option is the game speed modification setting. This option allows players to play the game at slower speeds when offline. The developer noted that the setting was designed for beginners and those that want to take their time traversing through theopen world of Mexico.
Some of the other accessibility features coming to the game include a color blindness mode and a high contrast mode. These options focus on making theimpressive visuals ofForza Horizon 5easier to see. In addition, the developer included a number of text settings, such as the option to change the font size of the menu and gameplay text. Furthermore, subtitles are highly customizable, letting gamers adjust the font size, change background opacity, and highlight keywords.
