Before Chapter 8, players should have been doing all the side quests for the newFF7character Chadley, the kid that gives playersthe Stagger Effect side quest. These chain of side quests gives players access to purchasing new materia, including summon materia, like Shiva herself. But to get this materia, players will have to battle her first. So once players reach the part of Chapter 8 where they can do side quests, Chadley should give them the ability to start this difficult battle.
Gearing up for this battle should be easy if players have been getting all the materia, eventhe hard-to-find materia. Players can use the Fire materia, which should be a no-brainer considering that Shiva is an ice-based creature. But there are some other materia that players can use to help this battle be as easy as possible.
Defeating Shiva
While players with definitely want thebest weapons for theirFF7 Remakecharacters, their spells are what’s going to win this particular battle. Have Aerith cast fire as often as possible while Cloud does as much fire-based DPS as possible with the Elemental materia. ensure to protect Aerith and keep her alive so she can Cure and Arcane Ward herself and Cloud.
