While this open beta is limited to new players looking to tryFinal Fantasy 14for the first time, it offers the base game,A Realm Reborn,and theHeavenswardandStormbloodexpansions, with a level cap of 70 and no playtime restrictions. Although the Xbox Series X version supports playingFinal Fantasy 14at 4K resolution, there are some caveats. Currently, Xbox players face the same free trial restrictions, as they are unable to form or join free companies, use certain functions such as the market board, or access some combat features such as Ultimate raids.

On Tuesday, March 19,Final Fantasy 14Patch 6.58 will go live, which will bring some bug fixes to the game and make some adjustments to PVP job actions. The update will also bring support for 32-bit operating systems and DirectX 9 to an end.
