Players who complete this raid will be awarded a Dragonsong Token, which can be traded for special weapons at Radz-at-Han. However, the raid is not easy, in fact, many have called itone of the hardest raids in the game. This means it’ll require a lot of preparation and practice. Stock up on food, raise the item level over the requirement, and play with a team that works well together.

The Set-Up And First Mechanics

Phase one, also known as the Vault Phase, is against Sir Adelphel, Ser Grinnaux, and Ser Charibert. Only two of these bosses will be targetable, though, and they areAdelphelandGrinnaux. The party will want to set eight markers in a circle around the arena with A, B, C, and D typically placed North and 4, 3, 2, and 1 placed South. Each tank should pull Adelphel and Grinnaux into the middle of the markers. It is best to keep the two bosses close.

Ser Adelphel casts an attack called Holiest of Holy, which is a raid-wide attack. The first mechanic that requires strategy is when Ser Grinnaux uses an attack called Empty Dimension, which is a donut-shaped AOE that players need to group close into the middle to avoid. At the same time this is used, Adelphel will tether a random player, anda tank needs to take that tether to the north side of the bosses while the rest of the players stand on the south side. The AOE will go off and the tethered tank will be stunned for a bit.

Hyperdimensional Slash And Heavensblaze

Ser Charibert will be in the background, untargetable. He will cast Heavensblaze, which will require the party to stack together. At the same time,a tank buster will occur which is a cleave. This meansthe targeted tank for the tank buster must make sure the cleave faces away from the stacked part.

At a certain point, Adelphel will leave the arena and Grinnaux will cast Hyperdimensional Slash on four random players. This is when the markers come in handy, asthese four players must spread out and can use A, B, C, and D to spread north while the other players stack behind Grinnaux to the southas he does a cleave attack against them. Then the roles will switch, with the south party having to spread to 4, 3, 2, and 1 while the northern group of four stack north of Grinnaux. At this point, eight portals will be positioned around the edge of the arena based on the markers.Do not get close to them or they will tether and kill the player.

Faith Unmoving And Holiest Of Holy

After the two Hyperdimensional Slashes, players must find Adelphel, who will appear somewhere on the edge of the arena. Grinnaux will be casting a knockback attack called Faith Unmoving while Adelphel will cast Holiest of Holy.Avoiding these attacks means stacking behind Grinnaux so that he is between the players and Adelphel.Make sure his pushback attack does not land players too near a portal.

Ser Adelphel will then run to another part of the arena, still on the edge. The party will want to move to the side Adelphel is on while avoiding the portals. They can camp between two markers while Adelphel dashes around. Once Adelphel has run around the arena, the main tank needs to separate from the groupbecause Adelphel will then land on them with a cleaving tank buster. After that, it is back to attacking both knights in the middle of the arena.Adelphel will try to heal himself with Holiest Hallowing at certain points from now on, which can be interrupted.

Ser Charibert.

“PlayStation Chains”

The next mechanic is known to be the most difficult of this phase and players have nicknamed it “PlayStation Chains.” The markers that will appear on players will show which players will be chained to who. The markers arebased on jobs. Grinnaux will cast his knockback attack again, which can help break the chains.Matching pairs should be opposite each other and put themselves in a position close around Grinnaux so that his knockback lands them through opposite markers. While this happens, Charibert will cast Heavensflame which will give everyone a wide circle of damage, so be sure to stay spread out after the knockback.

After PlayStation Chains, the rest is easier and the party will see familiar attacks and should do the mechanics over again. What they have to be careful of is that they must keep both bosses in similar health. This is because when one dies, the other will enrage and wipe the party if not killed soon after the other. The enrage only takes a few seconds to wipe the party.

Ser Charibert Comes In

After Adelphel and Grinnaux fall, Charibert will become targetable and start to cast Pure of Heart. This is can do a ton of damage, butthe damage is lessened the lower the health of Charibert is. He must be attacked in order to whittle his health down, and thus lower the damage his attack will do to the party.

Adelphel, while he cannot be targeted anymore, will cast Passage of Arms and Grinnaux will Holmgang everyone so that they cannot move very far. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed as a lot starts happening at once, but there are only a few mechanics that must be done. Players will be getting constant tick damage while Charibert will cleave the closest two players.Healers will need to heal constantly for this part. When the two players are hit by the cleave, they get afour-second debuff that will cause them to drop a puddle where they stand. This can be dodged by moving out and placing the puddle away from others.

Healers should take the first cleaves and move far from the boss to drop the puddles. Melee players should take the second cleaves. The healers will move back to the party and the melee players will drop the puddles in the same spot the healers did. As this happens, ranged players take the third Charibert cleave. The melee players make room for the ranged to drop their puddles and then the tanks take the last cleave and place them where the rest were.

Pure of Heart will then be cast, and hopefully,at least one player will survivebecause that is the end of phase one. Do not fret if the single survivor then dies, because what matters is thatthe party has reached a checkpoint.Thordan is the next phase and from then onwards, that is where the party will start the fight if they wipe.
