The Main Scenario Questline inFinal Fantasy 14: Dawntrailis similar in length to other expansions, and thetotal Dawntrail MSQis 100 quests long. Most players report MSQ taking around fifty hours of playtime when doing no side quests or extra content. However, this time can go up or down substantially depending on how quickly players go through cutscenes.

Despite many feature quests being considered optional content for the purpose of beating Dawntrail, it is advised that players pick up and complete all quests in this category as they go. This is because these quests unlock additional content such as additional dungeons,Variant Dungeons, raids, and game mechanics like Flight.

This playstyle involves completing all MSQ, Feature, and Side Quests in their entirety. Assuming reasonable queue times for group content, and few necessary resets, players can expect 100% completion to take around 300 hours of playtime.

This number may go up and down depending on the amount of time spent watching cutscenes, spawn RNG, and queue times for group content. This also does not include collecting glamour pieces,rare minions,purchaseable emotes, or mounts.
