AFallout: New Vegasmod brings a new complete fanmade DLC-sized expansion to the game, taking players to the Backrooms. The mod forone of Obsidian Entertainment’s best gamesincludes new quests, weapons, and voice-acted characters.
Fallout: New Vegas' modding scene is a fantastic outlet for players to express their creativity. The scene has brought several expansions that are almost the size of entire DLCs to life. This allowed the creation of new campaigns for players to course through alongside new stories that go beyond the confines of the Mojave wasteland and new weapons that house massive destructive power. One of the best examples is a mod that aims tobuff the game’s SPECIAL stats calledFallout: Ashfall.

The latest mod to expand the game was created by a person inspired by the Backrooms and its lore. ThisFallout: New Vegasmodis calledOut of Bounds, and it takes place in the mythical Backrooms as the player is forced to scavenge for resources in order to make weapons to fight many unknown entities. The mod features 17 new weapons for players to play around with, 6 different new quests, 6 new creatures, a new smelting mechanic, and 4 new settlements to explore.
Fallout New Vegas: Out of Boundsis created by NKFC. The mod allows players to access 4 different levels of the Backrooms including Level 0, Level 1, The Hub, and The Basement. Additionally, players can visit other interesting areas such as Tom’s Diner, MEG Base Alpha, and even catch a glimpse of the ruins of a lost civilization in The Hub. The mod also has fully-voice acted cutscenes and NPC dialogue, with 40+ new voice-acted characters delivering a grand total of over 800 lines of dialogue.
The modder also pointed out that, much like in the original iteration of the story of the Backrooms, players cannot escape it once they enter. Additionally, players will lose all their inventory once they enter the horrific and desolate location. It’s because of this that players will be left scrambling to scavenge any and all possible resources to fight the many entities found within the Backrooms.Fallout: New Vegasplayers can also come across several settlements within this mysterious plane and complete side missions.
