There are lots of dangerous creatures that lurk around the ruins of post-war Appalachia. From mutated insects toglowing Deathclaws, there are many deadly beasts to hunt inFallout 76. One type of creature that can be found pretty commonly is the Mirelurk. While they can be killed for their meat, most players only really seek out these creatures when completing certain daily and weekly challenges.
Every now and then, players will be tasked with gathering a certain amount of Mirelurk Eggs. For players who don’t know much about these eggs, finding them may prove to be quite a challenge. However, they are actually very easy to come by.

How To Collect Mirelurk Eggs
For the most part, if the location has Mirelurks, then there will probably be a few eggs lying around. Unfortunately, a lot of the eggs that can be found around the map will hatch a Mirelurk Spawn when approached. When an egg hatches, it doesn’t count towards any ‘collect Mirelurk Egg’ challenges.
But, with some patience, it’s possible to sift through the bad eggs to gain a few good ones. The eggs are very fragile, so it’s important not to accidentally shoot or hit them. The best way to collect the eggs is to clear the location of enemies. Then, approach an egg pile and interact with an egg. If a Mirelurk Spawn hatches, just hit itwith your gun, melee weapon, or fists. Don’t shoot it, as you may accidentally destroy some good eggs.

Once you’ve dispatched the Mirelurk Spawn, head back to the remaining eggs and interact with another one. Just keep repeating this process. Typically, there are between 1 and 5 good eggs in any given pile.
