Summary

A talentedFallout 4fan has created a working version of the Shishkebab in real life, as seen in the game. The Shishkebab fromFallout 4is a sword that allows players to set their enemies on fire, and now a real-life version of it exists in the hands of one fan of the series.

TheFalloutseries is approaching its 30th birthday in the next few years, and its impact on fans has been enormous. No matter whether someone has been playing since the originals, or jumped in during Bethesda’s era, there’s so much iconic imagery for players to pay tribute to. Over the years, there have been a ton of amazing fan creations based on theFalloutseries. Just recently, onegamer made an awesomeFalloutmixtape, paying homage to the series' most iconic songs across all the games.

Redditor CaptainNotSoCool shared the working Shishkebab with theFalloutcommunity online, with a video of it in action. The ignition works using a mix of propane and butane, and a slow-motion video of the Shishkebab in action shows just how cool this thing really is. The Shishkebab is one of thebest melee weapons inFallout 4, but it’s certainly the type of item that most wouldn’t expect to make the jump from in-game to real life too well. However, as this footage shows, with the right creator behind it, the Shishkebab works just fine.

Fallout 4 Fan Creates Working Shishkebab

Fans of the game were extremely impressed with the creation, with one person saying, “Sick as hell, stay safe tho.” It’s clear to see how there could be some safety concerns with the Shishkebab, but CaptainNotSoCool does seem to be handling it in a responsible manner. Another user joked that “Amazon Prime video would like to hire you for the second season,” with CaptainNotSoCool claiming that it “would be a dream.” Considering afan’s cosplay made it into the newFalloutseries, it’s a dream that might not be too far from reality, if this Shishkebab creation catches the eye of the right people.

It has been extremely exciting to see theFalloutfranchise’s boost in popularity since the launch of the TV adaptation. Players have flocked to the games in record numbers, andFallout: New Vegaseven reached a new peak player count on Steam. With Bethesda currently occupied withThe Elder Scrolls 6, it seems this hype is destined to fall on the olderFalloutgames, although it will surely put the next title in the series in a great spot, whenever that releases further down the line.
