However, this image wasn’t official by any means. It was a drawing created by an artist called Daniel Montiel Franco (or Tablos) for a Spanish magazine called Hobby Consolas.

The massive rumors surroundingDragon Ball AFcompelled a bunch of aspiring mangaka to create fan manga of their own. Most of these manga served as continuations of the story present in GT.

In Young Jijii’sDragon Ball AFmanga, Xicor is not the main threat. Rather, Earth is besieged bythe son of Friezawho was seeking out revenge for the injustices against his father.

2A Website Was Duped Into Thinking That Dragon Ball AF Was Real
For the most part, most Japanese outlets were well aware of the fact thatDragon Ball AFwas nothing more than a myth. However, the English site Majin.com wasn’t aware of this and was duped into thinking thatDragon Ball AFwas actually a reality.
This led to the site “formally” announcing a new sequel forDragon Ball GT. After some time, the site redacted this statement and apologized for the misinformation… but it was too late. The flames of this rumor had already been stoked.

Daizenshuu EX is a fan site that was already well-aware of the fact thatDragon Ball AFwas a complete lie. In fact, they were so adamant about this that they decided to make an elaborate April Fool’s joke that confused fans even more.
