ThoughAssassin’s Creed Valhallagot off to a bit of a shaky start, with Ubisoft’s greedy microtransaction practices seeping into the game’s otherwise excellent mechanics and open-world, it’s turned into quite the AAA experience. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Update 1.5.2’s New Content
AlthoughAssassin’s Creed ValhallaUpdate 1.5.2 won’t blow anyone’s mind, it does offer a decent amount of new content, especially for a game that’s been out for almost two years, and especially when that update is free. The biggest addition coming with this update is by far the introduction of a new building.
Update 1.5.2 is addinga new Armory building to Ravensthorpe. To unlock the building, players just need to update their game, head back to their village, make sure its level 3, and construct the Armory using foreign cargo, which can be obtained through the game’s River Raid activities. Once constructed, players will be able to access the update’s new loadout mechanic.
Constructing the Armory allows the player to store up to two loadouts straight away. To create a loadout, players will need to head to the inventory screen and save their current equipment as a loadout. These loadouts can then be renamed for extra customization. The most obvious way to use these loadouts is to create an action-focused loadout and thena stealth-basedAC Valhallabuildso that both the game’s primary gameplay styles can be switched between on the fly.
With more foreign cargo, players can upgrade their Armory, eventually unlocking five loadout slots. In a neat touch, each of the player’s loadouts can be seen hanging from a mannequin inside the Armory, which adds some nice immersive detail an already very immersive game. Similarly, some of the player’s best loot will also appear as ornaments in the Armory, reminding the player of their previous adventures.
As a fun little bonus addition, Update 1.5.2 is also adding some brand-new rewards to the game’sRiver Raids. Both new cosmetic items and weapons are confirmed to be amongst the new rewards for this activity, going hand-in-hand with the update’s new Armory feature. Players will be able to conduct some River Raids, bring back their shiny new loot, and hang it on their Armory’s walls.
Along with the new gameplay additions,Assassin’s Creed ValhallaUpdate 1.5.2 is also stamping out a plethora of technical issues and bugs. Some of the most prevalent fixes revolve around the “Finding Fritjof” quest, where Tyra’s AI has been tweaked. A few open-world aspects have also been fixed, including a slew of Wolfpack issues. Players will also receive a Mastery Point when they reach level 200.
