There are four decks that players can use from the get-go after finishing the first Tales of Tribute quest inElder Scrolls Online. The Duke of Crows and Loremaster Celarus let players manipulate their deck and draw more options, while Hlaalu is all about building Coin. Saint Pelin, on the other hand, is completelyfocused on building Power.

One of the ways to win in the newElder Scrolls Onlineminigame is to exceed 40 Prestige - a victory condition Saint Pelin is built for.

Saint Pelin: Patron Overview

Saint Pelin was a hero to the Breton people early in the history of the half-Elven half-Nedic peoples. Long ago, Saint Pelin was a healer who tended to the wounded of Bangkorai Garrison. When the Grey Host attacked, he prayed to Stendarr foran “ocean of blood"to flow from his body and sweep away the invaders - his wish was granted.

His Patron ability can be used at every Favored tier, and lets players pay 2 Power to return an Agent in their Cooldown to the top of their deck, making it the next card to be drawn. It’s very useful for setting up combos in the future and can beused immediately after purchasingan Agent from the Tavern, though it can sometimes be harder to come up with 2 Power than it seems.

The Saint Pelin deck is almost entirely centered on building Power. Just about every single card in this Patron’s deck comes with a Play Effect or Combo that increases Power by at least 1, and most of the time it’s higher. There are lots of Agents in this deck that can help build Combosand block your enemy’sPower gain, and there are plenty of powerful Combos that can win a game through Prestige faster than any other Patron, and as it stands currently, Saint Pelin is widely considered the best deck in Tales of Tribute because of it.

RELATED:Elder Scrolls Online: How To Start The High Isle ChapterThe Knight Commander Agent gives a massive amount of Power on play and can keep itself alive - something no other Agent can do. The Knights of Saint Pelin Agent, on the other hand, gives few play bonuses but is cheaper and has a similar Defense, letting the player who focuses on Pelin cards get ahead on the Power game. The Legion’s Arrival and Siege Weapon Volley cards are cheap and can greatly help Coin andPower buildup early on. Ultimately, The Armory is the best card in the deck, as it can be acquired early for a massive boost to Power gain.

Strategies And Synergies With Other Patrons

The general strategy for the Saint Pelin deck is to grab cheap Power-building cards as early as possible, like The Armory, then use any means necessary tocontinue gaining Poweruntil your lead is unstoppable - this deck can win the game faster than any other. To enhance this power creep, though, it’s a good idea to pair his cards with either the Ansei Frandar Hunding or Rahjin, the Purring Liar decks.

Ansei Frandar Hunding should be your first choice of the two if you are going for a Saint Pelin Tales of Tribute deck. Hunding cards provide three things: deck manipulation, Power gain, and more effective ways to get Coin and cards from the Tavern. On the other hand, the Rahjin deck reduces enemy Prestige with a number of cards, which can drag them behind as the Saint Pelin player soars ahead. With the right setupof cards, you can effectively take away their route to victory through Prestige - just be sure to keep the Patrons' Favor.
