A Reddit user named Cromated has shared a clip fromElden Ringfeaturing this incident, and it looks like they landed a backstab on Preceptor Miriam right as she was teleporting. This results in Cromated getting teleported outside the level as they fall to their death. Cromated confirms that they lost 11,000 runes due to this issue, instead of gaining an upper hand in the battle against Preceptor Miriam. It also looked like Preceptor Miriam didn’t have too much health left, so Cromated could have defeated her if not for this glitch.
While many gamers in the comments section appear sympathetic, a lot of players mentioned that 11,000 runes isn’t a big amount, stating that they will eventually lose hundreds of thousands of runes over the course ofElden Ring. A ton of users then commented on how manyrunes they have lost inElden Ring, with some fans claiming to have lost millions while playing the game.
One user mentions that 11,000 runes can still mean a lot to players, as Cromated could have leveled up twice depending upon their currentlevel inElden Ring. However, another player argues that the Reddit poster can kill ghosts to get 10,000 runes in two minutes, so losing this amount is of little consequence. It does seem like most players would rather talk about the amount of runes Cromated lost instead of the issue that led to their demise.
Players will likely struggle to defeat Preceptor Miriam when they first encounter this enemy, but a fan named JackNewbie555 made clever use of theMimic’s Veil item inElden Ringto defeat her. In the video, the player turns into a plant as Preceptor Miriam approaches, and she stares at it for some time before turning back. This gives JackNewbie555 the perfect opportunity to land a backstab, allowing the player to defeat her without much trouble.
Elden Ringis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
