A big part of what made theDragon Ballfilms so iconic was the numerous villains that they introduced. It’s a shame that none of these villains is canon, butDragon Ball Superhas already done justice to Broly and made him a permanent part ofDragon Ballcanon. So, it’s not the most unreasonable thing in the world to want the following movie characters to be officially recognized, especially due to how awesome they are.
7Cooler
The idea ofFrieza’s brother being an adversarywas a brilliant move that led to two of the most well-known and beloved anime films duringDragon Ball Z’s run. Cooler is a worthy adversary that tests Goku to the very limits, and the Super Saiyan transformation against this character in the movie is pretty epic indeed.
Cooler is a great character, although the introduction of Meta-Cooler in the second movie is pretty underwhelming at times. However, it does play off the Mecha-Frieza concept in a new and unique way…even though it overstays its welcome.

6Turles
The idea offighting a Goku doppelgangeris something that has already been utilized inDragon Ball Super, so it’s easy to see why some people might write Turles off as a has-been villain. However, given his origin as a Saiyan, he could definitely be used in a new and unique way during the events ofDragon Ball Super.

After all, more Saiyans is never a bad thing — a fact that was proven by Broly in his canon movie. So, while it might be an unexpected move, introducing Turles inDragon Ball Supercan definitely play out well if the show plays this card properly.
5Android 13
Android 13 isone of the toughest enemies that Goku and the gang have fought inDragon Ball Z. The confrontation is absolutely brilliant and sees the cast of the beloved Z Warriors put their all into this grueling battle.
In the end, Goku accidentally absorbs the Spirit Bomb while in the Super Saiyan state and unleashes this power in a mortal blow that takes care of Android 13 once and for all. It would be great ifDragon Ball Superplays around with this concept in some capacity, although the chances of something like this happening are highly unlikely.

4Janemba
Fusion Rebornis one of the bestDragon Ball Zmovies by a mile and a half, and this is mainly due to the major powerup achieved in this movie when Goku and Vegeta combined their powers using the Fusion Dance for the first time. The resulting fighter isa powerful Fused warrior called Gogetawho absolutely destroys Janemba without even breaking a sweat.
It’s genuinely mind-blowing that this fusion wasn’t even canonized untilDragon Ball Super: Brolycame out. Watching Super Saiyan God Gogeta lay waste to everything in his path is simply incredible and makes for a great watch, and one can only hope that Janemba comes back so that this Fusion has another excuse to rear its head.

3Hirudegarn
Wrath of the Dragonis another great movie that plays around with some neat concepts. Itintroduces a new move in Super Saiyan 3 Goku’s arsenaland also lays down the backstory surrounding the events that netted Trunks his sword as well…even though this part of the story is slightly suspect once fans take a closer glance.

However, the highlight of this movie is definitely the giant Hirudegarn. He’s a pretty powerful beast who can decimate everything in his path, and even an appearance as a punching bag for a new super move is enough to bring him over toDragon Ball Super.
2Lord Slug
The False Super Saiyan is a unique concept that was explored inDragon Ball Z, with the end result being present inLord Slug. This eponymous antagonist is a force to be reckoned with and defeats any Z Fighter who tries to stop him.
That being said, Lord Slug’s battle against Goku does bring out a hidden power in the Saiyan that is one of the more unique forms he’s accessed. His hair doesn’t turn blonde, but Goku achieves a pseudo-Super Saiyan form that lets him inflict some damage on Lord Slug before reverting to normal.

1Bojack
Bojack Unboundis a pretty unique movie that appears in the canon right after the end of the Cell Games. A harmless tournament turns into a battle to save Earth after Bojack and his goons appear to put a stop to these proceedings.
During this fight, Gohan is pummeled over and over again before his father comes and reinvigorates him. This allows him to achieve the Super Saiyan 2 form, letting him destroy Bojack and his fighters with ease. Bringing this villain back can potentially help Gohan develop as a character, hopefully by accessing a new and improved powerup.
