BioWare first announced the nextDragon Agegame at The Game Awards 2018 with a brief teaser that revealed little beyond that the game was in development.Dragon Ageshowed up at The Game Awards again a couple of years later with a cinematic trailer that revealed more details, including the fact thatSolas, the Dread Wolfwould be playing a key role in the story. Now the nextDragon Agehas an official title, and as it turns out, it’s an anagram for something that potentially has big implications for the franchise.

BioWare recently confirmed that the nextDragon Agegame is titledDragon Age: Dreadwolf, further underlining Solas' importance to the game’s narrative as the game’s primary antagonist. It also confirmed that fans won’t get to playDragon Age: Dreadwolfin 2022, with the game instead pegged for a release in 2023 or beyond. However, BioWare did promise that more information onDragon Age: Dreadwolfwould come at some point later this year.

When it comes toDragon Age: Dreadwolf, all fans have to go by are the previously released trailers and the game’s new title. However, there may be more clues about what the game will entail hidden in plain sight. ThenextDragon Agebeing titledDreadwolfmay have more significance than fans may have realized at first because it appears as though the title is actually an anagram.

As pointed out by Twitter user banalnadas,Dreadwolfis an anagram for “Fade World.” And while formerDragon Age: Dreadwolfproducer Mike Darrah no longer works at BioWare, he did respond to banalnadas' tweet with the “eyes” emoji, suggesting that there could very well be something to this discovery. InDragon Age,The Fadeis essentially the spirit world, separated from the material world by the Veil. Magic users draw from the Fade to power their abilities.

Solas makes it clear that one of his goals coming out of theDragon Age: InquisitionTrespasser expansionis to tear down the Veil. The “Fade World” anagram suggests that Solas is going to be successful, which could completely change the world ofDragon Ageforever.

Of course, there’s a reason whyDragon Agefans were looking for anagrams with theDreadwolftitle. TheSolas companion questinDragon Age: Inquisitionis called All New, Faded for Her, which is actually an anagram for Dread Wolf Fen’harel, which hints as Solas' identity as the Dread Wolf.
