It’s been a long time sinceDead Spacefans have heard of anything new about the games from official sources, but rumors have spread far and wide about something stirring around the series. Now, a new change on the officialDead SpaceYouTube page is making fans wonder if there’s really something to these rumors.

Dead Spacehasn’t seen a new entry since the third game of the series released way back in 2013. Following the shutdown of Visceral Games, many likely thought that the series was permanently dead, but recent activity is making some wonder if it’s time for Isaac to make a comeback.

Dead Space’s official YouTube channel has been dormant for years, utilizing the exact same icon on its page since the promotion ofDead Space 3began. The original image was taken fromDead Space 3, but has now been changed without explanation. While no new videos or further hints have been shared by EA, the YouTube page now sports an image fromDead Space 2.

While this isn’t much information to go on, the change is being shared across social media, and it has the community excited. Numerous rumors have indicated that EA is prepping something new forDead Space, and may be announcing it at theEA Play eventcoming on July 22. While EA hasn’t done anything to substantiate or refute these rumors, the sudden change to the YouTube channel is reasonably leading some fans to think that something must be happening, as it wouldn’t make much sense for the update to have been made randomly.

However, the choice of image is leading to further questions. Most recently, theDead Spacerumors have indicated that a sequel or series re-imagining may be on the way. With that said, previously, industry insiders shared information indicating that aDead Spaceremaster trilogycould be in the works. If the latter were the case, it would make a great deal of sense to use an image ofDead Space 2, as it was better received and sold more copies than the third entry to the franchise.

WithMass Effect 4andDragon Age 4already announced by EA as being in development, seeing a fourth entry to the long-dormantDead Spaceseries would be the latest return to a beloved EA-published series that fans have been hoping for. It’s unlikely that EA will tease anything significant regarding Isaac Clarke’s fate prior to the EA Play event, so hopefulDead Spacefans are encouraged to stay tuned for it.
