The trailer starts withthe premise ofGungrave GORE, where the anti-hero Grave has been resurrected to stop the Raven Clan. This drug cartel has begun spreading a new drug known as the “SEED” which has infected several humans around the world. A rebellion is looking to stop this spread no matter what, with Grave being brought into the fold to help out and lead the charge. With this mission set, Grave will travel not only to Scumland, but also Vietnam, Cambodia, and a number of other locations where the clan is situated and the drug is being distributed.
Gungrave GORE’s stylish gameplaywas then shown, where players can use both of Grave’s guns to shoot at a variety of oncoming enemies, with each of these enemies having also been using the drug. As a result of injecting themselves with SEED, they are granted supernatural abilities, which include invisibility or shooting out shockwaves. Grave is not on the back foot either, as he’ll have a variety of weapons at his disposal thanks to the coffin on his back known as the “Death Hauler.” This allows the player to deflect shots, shoot out a chain flail, or transform into a cannon.
The locales that Grave will travel to are varied, from busy city streets to the jungles of Vietnam, these will all lead him closer to stopping the threat of the Raven Clan. The clan itself has a number of leaders that the trailer seems to be setting up as climactic boss fights to boot. WithGungrave GORE’s launch now only a couple weeks away, it’s shaping up to be a hit for this cult classic series.
Gungrave GOREreleases November 22 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
