The lack of saturation speaks to the overall feel of the character as well as the game. Dark Souls is a pretty artistic game, and it is not easy to pull off a creative fan content like this with this much flavor in it. This is one of the best Artorias cosplays on the list.

First off, the overall composition of the image is very creatively done. Secondly, the use of post-editing and light makes this piece stand out. The symbolism with a mixture of orange and dark blue is the backbone on which Dark Souls stands. Light and darkness.

Some of the armor is held by lace or thread, which makes it look even better. This is how Artorias would’ve been in Dark Souls.

Another one byzep-hindle, this is amazingly real as well. Firstly it looks very accurate to the lore of Dark Souls. Secondly, it has an emotional value that is not quickly produced. The story of Artorias and Sif is that of the two equal partners. Before Abyss consumed Artorias, he went to great lengths just to protect Sif. These two are like brothers, and the cosplay justifies that feeling. The realism in the cosplay also gives life to never before seen concepts.

The forearm pads and shoulder armor is perfectly intact but looks battle-tested. And there are traces of rust and dirt all around the whole piece. This may not be the most edited image, but the outfit positively speaks volumes.
