Or maybe it has, as the description on the page says that this work was commissioned by people from Bandai Namco. So technically it may be official artwork, but it is still too good to leave out. The amazing details and minimal use of colors really evoke a feeling of desolation. The smokey fumes taking the shape of Sif is another detail that adds a storytelling element into this artwork.

The smokey fumes and fire are reminiscent of theBattlefield 3cover, which may be a source of inspiration for this. The darkness in this artwork is very much on parallel with the environments inthe game. The gleaming cyan-ish white fog in the background makes the whole scene feel like it has depth.

But there is something really soothing about this piece, even if it looks distorted. It is incredibly polished and detailed, making it almost seems as if it’s an official image released by Bandai Namco.
1Artorias the Abysswalker - Aku 悪
Here we have what is probably the most detailed piece of Artorias fan art of them all. Created byAku 悪, this work can be seen in its full glory on his ArtStation page. There is a sense of realism in this piece, that takes it beyond the level of detail that was in the game. This looks like it could be a part ofDark SoulsIV, which is insane considering that it is fan art. The lighting in this work is simply artistic, while the details on the armor, sword, and cloth look perfect. Moreover, the scratchy details give it a certain visceral appeal that’s difficult to articulate. It is, in a word, wonderful.
