Summary
The critically-acclaimed once-Xbox console exclusive gameHi-Fi Rushis now available on PS5.Hi-Fi Rushwas one of 2023’s surprise hits, shadow-dropped to rave reviews last year. Developed by Tango Gameworks,Hi-Fi Rushis a stylish action game with a unique rhythm-based combat and movement system. It earned a great deal of praise for its originality and sense of humor, with it ultimately becoming one of the highest-rated games in a year full of landmark releases.
Tango Gameworks is part of Bethesda, with both companies falling under the Xbox Game Studios umbrella. Considering this, it’s no surprise thatHi-Fi Rushwas an Xbox console exclusive when it first launched. However, it was long rumored thatHi-Fi Rushcould potentially make its way to competing platforms. It was eventually confirmed by Microsoft thatHi-Fi Rushwould indeed be coming to PS5, and now the game is finally available on Sony’s latest console.

PS5 gamers now have the chance to playHi-Fi Rushfor themselves, and they can even get the game at a budget price.Hi-Fi Rushis $29.99 on the PlayStation Store, which is not a bad deal at all for a game with an 89 overall critic rating. Of course, those on Xbox have the option ofplayingHi-Fi Rushthrough Xbox Game Pass, but $29.99 is still a great price for such a high-quality game.
It will be interesting to see how wellHi-Fi Rushperforms on the PS5, and if that inspires Xbox to bring it to even more platforms. There have been rumors thatHi-Fi Rushcould be coming to the Switch 2as well, though official plans to that effect have yet to be announced. Nintendo has yet to even announce the Switch console, and so it will still be quite some time before fans know what games are in the works for the device.
