Cozy Groveis an adorable adventure game where people play as a Spirit Scout on an ever-changing island. On this island, players will stumble across different ghosts that need help, as well as uncover secrets, solve puzzles, and decorate their camp and island as they please. As a Scout, it is the player’s job to uncover memories of the different Spirit Bears that haunt the forest. By accepting and completely different quests that the Bears offer, memories will start to be uncovered for these Spirits, allowing them to find peace and move on to a peaceful afterlife.

Each Spirit Bear has their own unique personalitythat can be seen in not only the character design but with their dialogue and quests. Not only do they differ in personality, each one has a different mechanic in the game, as far as what they can do for the Scout. Because of this, players tend to favor some Bears over others, either due to the dialogue or because some are more helpful to the player than others. While there are different types of bears in the grove, such as Residential, Merchant, and Seasonal, the Residential bears will be the focus due to them being the main importance in the game.
Spoilers ahead!
17Pius of Grizz
This old soul is very faithful to his religion and leader, the Emperor. Pius of Grizz was raised to worship and spread the word of his leader to the world and continues to do this after his death. Most of his quests revolve around his need to continue spreading the good word, having Scouts build him an altar and find scrolls for him.
There are times when Pius asks the Scout to whip him to purge him of sin due to how devout he is in his faith. Like most of the other Bears at this level, he does not offer any services just yet, however, perhaps the developers,Spry Fox, will offer a service through him in the future.

16Bearos the Third
Bearos is an ancient Emperor that Pius follows devoutly. Hespeaks in a Shakespearean tone which can be a little hard for players to decipher. Mostly, Bearos speaks about how much he misses his kingdom and how he wishes he could go back there. There are also times when he calls upon his Ancestors but receives no answers from them.

Like most of the later Bears, he does not offer anything. However, there is a furniture set that is dedicated to him that Scouts can find and craft.
15Dalia of Crosgrove
Referred to as the Revolutionary Bear, Dalia is supposedly one of the oldest Spirits. Her origins trace back to the very start of Cozy Grove. She created the history of the Grove when she led the revolution. She does not offer anything to the Scout. Because of this, Valentina holds her in high regard.
Most of herdialogue refers to the revolution where she talks frequently about pursuing equalityand fighting for what is right. She is an inspirational character that is easy to talk to, however, she does not offer any services to the player yet.

14Ursula Pine
This Bear plants objects in her garden that holds memories to people. When doing this, a solution or answer will grow that is meant to help soothe the painthat an undead spirit feels. So, to help Ursula work through her memories, players need to help her help the other Bears.
Ursula does not have a service that can be offered to the player as of now. But similar to the other bears, players can chat to Ursula frequently to learn more about the other Spirits or about the Grove in general.

13Ted Sapsen
When Ted is first mentioned by Flamey, Scouts are warned that he can be hard to speak with. And after the first conversation, Ted is a simple Bear. Not only does he just not want to open up to anyone, but his requests are also fairly similar to each other. He loves rocks. Knows every type of rock by heart. And wants all of them.

EvenCharlotte mentions that when she was a scout, she couldn’t figure out Ted Sapsen. Scouts will have to go through the tedious tasks of collecting and finding rocks in order to help him. He does not offer any services.
12Bruin Tram
Bruin is skeptical of everything, being a Conspiracy Bear that is started over noises and doesn’t trust anyone around him, including the Scout. Due to this, it can take a minute for the Scout to get close enough to the Bear to start figuring out his past.
Working with this Bear will soon allow players to craft ancient relics at Jeremy’s station, but it is only used for Bruin’s quest, so it’s not that valuable of a resource. So, while his dialogue can walk the line of humor and annoying, Bruin is a decent enough Bear with little services that are valuable to the player. He does not offer a service.

11Octavia Cubbins
When first meeting Octavia, players must work hard to get her to offer tasks. The independent Bear insists that she isn’t like the other Bears that she doesn’t need help from anyone, but soon reluctantly asks for assistance. As a past swimmer, this Bear loves the ocean and is fascinated by water, diving, and other activities. She also hates litter on the beach and often blames the captain for it.

Because of the recent update,Octavia can now offer players models for decorative shells. While this is not the most useful resource to the game, it is a great way to use up the excessive number of shells that spawn on the beach. However, if players are just starting out, you should sell the shells rather than make models to collect more coins.
10Valentina Oso-Fisher
This Mayor Bear is dedicated to creating a worthy town on the island for her residents. While her dedication is impressive, she is often stubborn and will not listen to public opinion or criticism. The tasks for her often include cleaning up the island, finding paperwork, or grabbing her coffee. She often complains about the imps that are running around the Grove and worries over their mischief. Allison Fisher and Valentina are half-sisters; however, Valentina doesn’t seem interested in Allison’s cooking.
Players can use Valentina to sell items like they do with Kit, as well aspurchase special furniture that she has for sale. Her furniture can be pricey since it requires semi-precious and precious gems to purchase. While Valentina is dedicated to her work and can be useful for those wanting special furniture, this Bear’s dialogue can be harder to appreciate than others.

9Clyde Wallace
This Wolf Bear is all about money and business. Players will unlock him once their Scout reaches level eleven and will quickly learn that Clyde is striving to push out his currency, Wolfcoin, into the world. To go along with hisWolfcoin currency, Clyde has shops that players can go to. One being his unique imp-themed furniture store. The other is an imp-themed clothing store. Players can only purchase these using Wolfcoins, which Scouts will receive through completing tasks.
Another one of his services is a salon. Players can come to him to purchase hairstyles in various fun colors. While Kit’s store does provide some hairstyles and different colors, Clyde could potentially be a faster way to gain a certain style and color that players may want.

8Arjun Bhalla
Arjun is a forgetful man who has some of the more tedious requests. The main objective of the game is to figure out the Spirit Bears’ memories, however, Arjun tends to be harder to work on than most. He sends Scouts on tasks to find photographs, most of which are not of him, but of the other Bears in the Grove. Arjun can’t remember anything about himself, from hobbies to family, meaning remembering his past does take some hard work and patience.

The only service the Bear provides came in a recent update where a camera was added. Arjun offers a shop of only one item which is a camera refill.Players can purchase this once a day for 2,400 coins. So while the Bear does not have a higher value resource like most bears, he is still needed to work on quests.
