The current title had a decade-long gap between the it and the prior game, so players have eagerly awaited the new game’s release.

Company of Heroes 3: Console Editionreceived an official release date of July 12, 2025, even though some may have expected it to release in the second half of the year. Both digital and physical copies of the game will become available for pre-order on June 18, 2025. Sega announced new features, alongside the existingCompany of Heroes 3PC features, to make it easier for console players. These include a custom UI and a feature called Full Tactical Pause.
The UI has been adjusted to match controller inputs and have it work without a mouse and keyboard, while the Full Tactical Pause feature allows players to pause the action, letting them issue more commands and handle any fast-paced situation. The preciseCompany of Heroes 3release timehasn’t been confirmed for consoles, but the storefronts should provide details once pre-orders begin.
The announcement of these features shows the developer’s willingness to make changes and increase the accessibility of its game to a broader audience. Since the game offers online multiplayer, fans can expect an online mode to join friends on the same system, but the creators don’t plan to add crossplay, so PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC gamers can’t join each other in online matches.
Even without crossplay, players can still enjoy the various modes included in the game and play with people on their corresponding consoles. They can join PvP matches to play against friends and random people or go with PvE if they want to work together or practice. Hopefuly, these features will be enough to please console gamers.
