How to Defeat Djinn?

Gin has the ability to change his elements. To beat him, attack with his opposing element, the one he’s weak to. Use Water to counter his Fire, Wind for his Water, Earth for his Wind, and Fire for his Earth.

Here are the best items to use for each of Gin’s weaknesses.

Silph’s Fan

Phase #1: Focus on Water-Type attacks.

The Gin boss fight starts with him attacking with Fire moves, which means Water is his first weakness. A good strategy is to put pressure on him with Lenne’s Water Thrust and inflict “Dry” using the Silph’s Fan item.

Phase #2: Use Wind-Type magical strikes.

After beating his Fire element, Gin changes it to Water, which players should counter with Wind. Victor’s Pressure Point and Lenne’s Wind Thrust arethe best skills to usefor this phase. Wterbomb is also a useful item because it increases Wind vulnerability.

Phase #3: Attack with Earth-Type moves.

During the third phase, Gin changes his element to Wind, which is weak to Earth. Make the most of Victor’s Earth Drum and Lenne’s Terra to beat this stage faster. (For more damage, use the Earth vulnerability item, Bolas.)

Phase #4: Exploit Fire-Type skills and finish him with an Ultra.

When Gin Djinn changes his elements to Earth, move on to Fire-Type attacks. A combination of Oil Lamb followed by Glenn’s Oil Slash, and Lenne’s Fire Thrust is ideal, as it inflicts the most DPS. But don’t hesitate to use Glenn’s Ultra Move on him. It drains Gin’s HP real quick.

By the way, beating Gin Djinn rewards players with 5 SP and a Grimoire Shard.

What Are the Best Moves for Gin Djinn Boss Fight?

Debuff moves such as Glenn’s Armor Break, Kylian’s Leg Aim, and Robb’s Poison are excellent skills for the initial phases. But more aggressive moves, such as Lenne’s Fire or Water Thrust and Glenn’s Power Swing, are wiser choices toward the end.

Old-school JRPG fansshould note that Gin Djinn has a staggering HP. And it takes about 70 basic moves to beat him. So, to take him down quicker, they must make the most of Critical, Combo, and Weakness attacks.

One pro move is to utilize items that up his vulnerabilities. Silph’s Fan, for example, inflicts Dry, which boosts Water DPS to Gin. But if he seems undefeatable, learn how to use SPand upgrade primary weapons before a rematch.
