After some maddening silence, Infinity Ward has finally made a comment on a few of the game breakingCall of Duty: Warzonebugs that have been plaguing players for the duration of Season 5 and beyond. In particular, the Heartbeat Sensor andArmor Satchel bugswere called out and seem to be getting addressed.
Infinity Ward has gotten something of a bad rap recently due to the lack of urgency with which it responds to bugs and other problems withinCall of Duty: Warzone. Though this announcement isn’t a fix for these issues, it is nice to see a line of communication being opened between the developers and fans.

This statement isn’t indicative of a fix coming any time soon, but does give fans hope that something is changing. TheHeartbeat Sensor glitch was directly confirmedby Co-Design Director of Multiplayer Joe Cecot, whereas the Armor Satchel bug was mentioned in a new card on Trello.
Above is the tweet in regards to the Heartbeat Sensor bug. Players have been experiencing an issue where opening the Heartbeat Sensor for the first timecausesCall of Duty: Warzoneto lag and freezefor a lengthy period of time, often resulting in that player’s death. This obviously renders the item not only useless, but risky to use, and will hopefully be getting a fix soon. Cecot’s response is short and sweet, simply letting fans know that the studio is looking into a fix. This doesn’t give any indication of how soon that fix will come, though, so fans may still want to just avoid Heartbeat Sensors for now.
On the flipside, more information is known about the status of the Armor Satchel bug. Currently, anytime a player picks up an Armor Satchel, it always contains eight plates, even if some of those were used by the previous owner. This card was found on Trello and reveals that the developers are aware of the issue and could even already have a fix for it. The wording of the label “Fixed in a future update” make it seem as though this bug is already fixed and Infinity Ward will implement it in the next update.
Of course, there’s no solid support for that, so fans shouldn’t necessarily expect the fix to come in thenextCall of Duty: Warzoneupdate, but it does seem likely. Interested fans should keep their ear to the ground, as both Cecot and Trello are great places to get information before it is officially announced by Activision.
