Tomorrow,Call of Duty: Modern Warfarewill be receiving a content update, adding new weapons toWarzone, as well as a new operator and multiplayer map to the main game. The multiplayer map is Khandor Hideout, which will be set in Syrkistan, one of the fictional countries ofModern Warfare’salternate version of Earth.
The map is described as being “medium-ranged,” which will be available for play for modes supporting teams of six versus six. It’s further described as being built formultiple ranges of combat, allowing various differently ranged weapons to be viable depending on what part of the map a firefight takes place at.

In terms of long-ranged combat, expect certain portions of the map to feature long lines of sight. These “lanes,” as they’re described, should serve as a suitable firing line for prospective snipers, and inversely as a zone to treat with caution for players with short and medium-range weapons.
The description of the map is rather short, so whether this meanslarge, open spacesor long alleys providing windows to the other end of the map is unknown. The variety and number of these locations on the map is another important factor to consider, since using a spot frequented by snipers can often be a better way to be sniped than it is to actually get kills with a sniper rifle.
In addition to long-ranged combat, Khandor Hideout is said to have areas designed forclose-quarters combat. More specifically, various interior areas, most notably a warehouse located at the center of the map, should serve as ideal locations for weapons and players that thrive in close-ranged firefights.
Any other nuances of Khandor Hideout will need to be discovered by players as they gain moreexperience with the map. As for now, all that’s really known about it is a brief, one-paragraph description accompanied by a a screenshot showcasing a moderately sized open area in front of a large building, presumably the warehouse. The screenshot is seemingly taken in the same location as another small image showing the map, which was visible in the picture outliningModern Warfare’ssecond season.
The main unknown factor though, as withany unreleased map, is how it will be received by the community. Players only need to wait for tomorrow to get their first impressions of Khandor Hideout.
