Whenever Activision and Infinity Ward have launched a new season ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare, it has been accompanied by the release of some new multiplayer maps. Sometimes these maps are brand new, built from the ground up forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare, and other times they are remakes of classicCall of Dutyseries maps. There’s no sign thatCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 4 will be any different, with fans thinking that they’ve figured out one of the new maps coming in the Season 4 update.
SomeCall of Duty: Modern Warfarefans have been examining the Season 4 art closely and think they can see the classicModern Warfare 2map Scrapyard within the words “Season Four.” This could very well be an indication thatCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 4will be adding Scrapyard when the update goes live on June 3, and if so, it wouldn’t be all that surprising since the map already exists in the game.

Those that play theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSpec Ops missionOperation Crosswind will note that it features the Scrapyard map, and Scrapyard can also be found on theWarzonebattle royale map. Since Infinity Ward has already built the assets for Scrapyard in other game modes, it’s a bit surprising that Scrapyard didn’t make its way toCall of Duty: Modern Warfarea bit sooner.
Whether or notScrapyardactually comes toCall of Duty: Modern Warfareas a standard multiplayer map remains to be seen, but it would make sense. After all, Infinity Ward has released a number of other classicCall of Dutymaps forModern Warfare, with theMW3map Hardhat being the most recent. There’s no indication that it will stop now, and there are a number of fan favoriteCall of Dutymaps that fans would be happy to see in the new game.
Besides Scrapyard, many fans have been hoping forCall of Duty: Modern Warfareto add otherclassicMW2multiplayer mapslike Estate and Terminal. This is especially so after Infinity Ward released theCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2remaster without any multiplayer component.
