Call of Duty: Modern Warfarefans are creative people who often try the impossible. Without experimentation, no one would ever find out the next game-breaking strategy or tactic. Still, mostModern Warfarediscoveries are made through a system of trial and error, as this fan found out.
There are strange rules when it comes to howtheCall of Duty: Modern Warfaregame enginehandles models. Some mesh can easily be passed through, other times it can be as solid as a wall. Testing the model’s mesh is a key factor in discovering exploits, but sometimes it does not work out as intended.

It was during around ofCall of Duty: Modern WarfareGround Warwhen Reddit user sithlordmaster decided to take a helicopter to new heights. With a VTOL high above the map, he decided that this was the perfect time to try landing on top of the impenetrable floating jet. Descending upon it, the helicopter easily rested on top of the jet, acting as if it had landed upon a solid surface, at least until sithlordmaster decided to get out of the vehicle. The moment they left the chopper, the jet was suddenly not solid, and their character model fell through the plane and onto the ground below. As they looked up at the VTOL, the helicopter can still be seen clearly resting on top of the jet until it flew away.
This is either a bug involving theModern WarfareVTOL’s modelor an intentional design to prevent exactly what this player was attempting. It is hard to know what in the game would be considered solid to the VTOL, as player models clearly are not. This line of thinking begs for further investigation among the game’s community.
Initially, the player thought that simply touching the VTOL would result intheCall of Dutyhelicopterexploding. Now that they know that the helicopter can land on top of it, the next experiment seems obvious to many players. In the comments, sithlordmaster discusses the possibility of using C4 on the VTOL with many fans wondering how many it would take to down the killstreak.
Naturally, there would be no way to get a C4 charge up to a VTOL’s flight level. Thankfully,Call of Duty: Modern WarfareGround Warhas helicopters available at all times for exactly these types of strange player experiences. Hopefully, this fan finds what they are looking for on the back of this dangerous killstreak.
