Boruto Uzumaki is one of the strongest characters in the franchiseright now. Among the shinobi, it would be safe to say that Boruto is the strongest and far above the level of anyone else. Although Boruto Uzumaki was destined to reach high levels of power, his strength has reached an entirely different level after the timeskip training with Sasuke, especially after he was sealed away.
The overall 3-year training led to him developing several powerful techniques, one of which is Uzuhiko. Boruto has utilized on a few occasions already, and it is safe to say that this jutsu is in a league of its own entirely.
What Is Rasengan Uzuhiko?

Over the years, fans have seen many unique Rasengan variants in the Naruto series. They’re all powerful in their own way, and have different usages. For instance, Naruto created special types after Rasengan throughout his journey as a ninja, and even his unique Rasenshuriken is an upgraded version of the same technique. Similarly, Boruto has also developed quite a lot of techniques already, such as his Vanishing Rasengan, which is an incredible technique to deal a sneaky blow to his enemies, and more recently, the technique he believes to be his strongest of all time, Rasengan Uzuhiko.
Boruto Uzumaki utilized this technique for the very first time in his battle against Code. Back then, Boruto did not unleash the full power of this technique, but fans were still able to tell how this jutsu works, and what special abilities it gave to Boruto. For one, Boruto summons the planet’s rotation chakra around him. This was not a surprise to the fans, given that the Rasengan’s concept works on spiraling chakra. However, in Boruto’s own words, the chakra that he was gaining was not his own, but of the planet. In other words, the chakra of Uzuhiko is derived directly from the planet. This isn’t just any chakra. In fact, it is the spiraling chakra of the planet which, according to Boruto, is generated by centrifugal force and the planet’s own rotation. This very specific form of chakra is what Boruto essentially utilizes to create Uzuhiko, his ultimate technique, and quite easilyone of the strongest Jutsuthat fans have seen in the entireNarutofranchise.

As long as the planet keeps spinning and generating this planetary chakra, theoretically Boruto can absorb it as much as he wants, and this also means that there is no upper limit to Rasengan Uzuhiko, at least now. But, of course, absorbing this chakra does take up quite a lot of his time. This is why Boruto often needs someone else to cover for him while he absorbs this chakra, as was evident in the recent chapter. Still, the trade-off for this time is worth it, as it allows Boruto the opportunity to theoretically gain unlimited chakra for his attack.
How Rasengan Uzuhiko Works

Fans weren’t aware of how Rasengan Uzuhiko works until recently. However,Boruto’s recent fight against Hidariconfirmed to the fans that there are some prerequisites that need to be met in order for this technique to be utilized. The very first thing that Boruto must absolutely do is plant both of his feet on the ground. This technique does not work in midair, and this is simply down to the fact that Boruto needs to maintain physical contact with the Earth in order to absorb the planetary chakra. This makes absolute sense, since being able to take in the rotation of the planet would require one to be in contact with the planet. If he is levitating, then, this contact cannot be achieved, which means Uzuhiko cannot be used.
Secondly, fans need to keep in mind that the power of Rasengan Uzuhiko and the effect that it has on the user is completely dependent on two factors. The first one is the time that the user spends absorbing the chakra of the planet, and the second is the effect that the user wants to give to their target.

Naturally, the more chakra the user gathers from the planet, the stronger the effects of Uzuhiko will be. Boruto Uzumaki has showcased various effects of Uzuhiko in the story so far, and regardless of what intensity it is used at, this technique is scary. In its basic form, Boruto Uzumaki can essentially use it like a regular Rasengan. This does just as much damage as a usual Rasengan, however, the big difference here is that Boruto can channel the planetary chakra into the body of his enemies.
This gives them vertigo semi-permanently, which means that it can only come to an end if Boruto Uzumaki undoes Uzuhiko on his enemies, or if the planet stops spinning. Otherwise, the user is always going to experience this vertigo and fail to maintain this balance.
Recently, Boruto Uzumaki also showcased the maximum output of his Uzuhiko technique. At maximum output, Uzuhiko is essentially deadly. Not even the strongest of individuals that fans have seen in Boruto can survive this attack. However, the downside to this is quite a lot of time to accumulate this amount of chakra, which means that he needs someone else to cover for him in the meantime. That said, if Boruto does succeed in accumulating a lot of energy, he can essentially one-shot just about anyone.
Even someone as strongas the Shinju can be one-shot by Boruto, as was seen in the previous Boruto chapter. This is accomplished by Boruto channeling the violently spiraling chakra of the planet directly into the body of the enemies, which means that they are unable to withstand the force and are essentially torn into shreds. All of Boruto’s targets are essentially disintegrated when they come in contact with the maximum output of Uzuhiko. At the same time, they would also be unable to maintain their balance while they are being hit with this technique, which makes it not much more deadly.
According to Boruto Uzumaki, Uzuhiko is essentially the planet fighting back against those who would drain its energy. Boruto becomes a bridge betweenthe planet and the Otsutsuki, and allows the planet to fight back by absorbing its planetary chakra and delivering a powerful blow to the Otsutsuki. This is quite ironic, and just goes to show that Boruto is an innovative and special fighter.
All in all,Rasengan Uzuhiko is a tremendous techniquethat Boruto has somehow managed to invent, and although one might confuse it for Sage Mode, these techniques are starkly different, despite making use of chakra from outside sources. In either case, fans now know that Uzuhiko might just be one of the strongest, if not the strongest, techniques that fans have ever seen in the franchise.
