Borutochapter 80 was incredibly exciting for the fans as it marked the end of the first half of theBorutomanga. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the story to reach the end of its first half and with that comes the timeskip. It appears thatBorutofinally settled that with chapter 80 and what follows now are the events of the post-timeskip era.

This is incredible for the fans and the series as a whole as the story will now finally see the characters age up and, at the same time, possibly at the peak of their strength. Boruto Chapter 81: The End Of The Timeskip Period
Borutochapter 81 is most likely going to be the timeskip and, that means the fans will not get to see any of the training that Boruto and the other characters go through. The last panel of chapter 80 ofBorutomade it pretty clear thatBoruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchihawere setting out on their own quest out of the village and that they intended to gain strength in order to defeat their enemies, as well as to bring Kawaki back on track and save Naruto. To do that, they will have to train for quite a long time and, by the looks of it, they will be away from the village for years. Boruto is currently 12 years old, and after the timeskip, it has already been revealed that he is 16. This implies that the timeskip of Boruto is going to be 4 years long.Borutochapter 81 will likely skip over it and not see the story go over the training periods.
Regardless, these characters will train individually to grow stronger. Boruto Uzumaki will learn under Sasuke’s guidance for 4 years and get much stronger. At the same time, other characters, such as Sarada Uchiha will also likely train. For Sarada, Sakura looks like a perfect trainer, while Mitsuki will likely train somewhere as well. Meanwhile, Kawaki will train within the village, however, how exactly he trains is not known just yet. Regardless, the vast majority of the focus will be thrown onBoruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, both of which are going to be heading out for a very long time.
Boruto Chapter 81: The New Power Upgrades
WhileBorutochapter 81 could very well reveal bits from the training that the main character is undergoing, it is likely going to skip over it entirely, making the timeskip very similar to howNarutodid it. Fans will likely see Boruto return from this timeskip in chapter 81 and he will look completely different. Boruto Uzumaki will be seen wearing Sasuke Uchiha’s cape, which will most likely be a sign of him being Sasuke’s student. At the same time, Sasuke Uchiha could also have granted Boruto a sword that looks just like his own. Once again, this could be to demonstrate thatBoruto Uzumaki is indeed his successor. Meanwhile, fans will definitely be more interested to see the post-timeskip designs of characters such as Sarada Uchiha and Mitsuki.

While Boruto and Kawaki have already had their designs revealed in the first chapter of the story, Sarada and Mitsuki have not. Meanwhile, Sasuke Uchiha could also have a new character design and that is certainly very interesting for the fans to look forward to. At the same time, fans could also get a look at the new power-ups that these characters will get. Given that a Boruto chapter is quite long, fans might get to see the main characters engage in some sort of combat and demonstrate what they have mastered over the course of the four years.
Boruto Chapter 81: The New Hokage Of Konoha
Undoubtedly,Borutochapter 81 is also going to throw some focus on Konoha itself. Previously, it was made abundantly clear to the people of Konoha that Naruto Uzumaki, their Seventh Hokage, was dead. This means that Konoha is without a leader at the moment. Sasuke Uchiha would have been the ideal replacement for Naruto Uzumaki, however, as fans know, he headed out of the village, abandoning it in the process. Sasuke is currently training Boruto Uzumaki and is likely getting stronger himself. This means that Konoha will likely have elected a new Hokage and, as is quite clear, the village cannot stay without a Kage for 4 years. It should be expected for the village to have appointed someone else and the likely candidate for this position would benone other than Sakura Haruno.
Sakura has both strength and the correct temperament to hold this position. While there are other characters who are also capable of taking on this position, none hold both strength and a keen intellect as Sakura does. Another candidate for the Hokage position would be Konohamaru, however, he has barely featured in the Boruto manga and is, thus, weak. Sarada Uchiha is another character who wants to be Hokage, however, she is too young and immature to be granted this position already. Sakura will likely be revealed as the 8th Hokage in Boruto chapter 81 and that, if true, is certainly going to be a decision that splits opinion. Regardless, Boruto chapter 81 has a lot of stuff for the fans to look forward to.
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait quite a while for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations to return. The manga is going on a short hiatus.
