To say thatThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimhas a few bugs here and there would be to massively undersell just how much of a meme the epic RPG has become because of its litany of issues. While a lot of them are harmless, and even a bit funny, the fact that even theAnniversary Edition has some game-breaking glitchesyet the game is still popular shows that, if anything, it forms part of the charm. With that, it’s tempting to say that the bugs are what’s keeping the title in the limelight, especially when fans show them off.

In a bizarre clip uploaded to theSkyrimSubreddit recently, user G0dleft has managed to capture a brief moment that highlights just one way that little amusing glitches can happen in-game. In this example, the brief video shows the player being approached by the infamous courier who chases the Dragonborn all over the map to deliver messages. Only in this instance, they don’t approach them in the normal way, but rather by emerging from the ground.

In any other game, the sight of an NPC just emerging from the very floor to speak to the player would probably come across as a little bit creepy. But in this game, it’s just one of many other harmless visual issues that plague the open world Bethesda title. It’s also not the first time something like this has befallen the renowned messenger. There have beennumerous examples of theSkyrimcourier bugging out, such as when the player is approached by him while they are in water. While it is a bug, it could also be a way to role-play the idea that the courier simply goes above and beyond in their line of duty.

As amusing and weird as the may be, many fans may get annoyed over the fact that, after more than ten years, there are still glitches being found that the developer has seemingly missed. Not all of them are game-breaking, fortunately, and in fact, someSkyrimbugs can even be helpful, such as the popular basket-over-the-head trick.

Withgamers now beginning to talk Elder Scrolls 6, the question many have is when will it actually be coming out? Although Bethesda is about to releaseStarfield, its first new IP in over two decades, fans are starting to get a little impatient about the whereabouts ofSkyrim’s successor. In the meantime, the community will no doubt continue to find examples of the ways in whichTES5is a little bit broken.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Editionis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
