In a post on Reddit, a user known as CTDThirteen shared a screenshot of them spectating an enemy on theBroken Moon map inApex Legends. The image looked normal except for the left side of the screen, showing eight players on the player’s team. In fact, there were so many icons, the uppermost was covered up by the round timer. “I encountered an 8 men squad on a normal game of trios,” CTDThirteen said when posting the image to Reddit.
This bizarre glitch has unsurprisingly caught the attention of theApex Legendscommunity. Over 1.8K users have upovted the post of the screenshot, with many inquiring about the details of the strange encounter. Among the comments, players wondered if this eight-man team resulted from a bug or a cheat. While some suggested it could be either, the consensus seemed to be that it was an old bug that had returned to the game in Season 17 ofApex Legends. In addition to the discussion about how the massive team originated, some users felt sorry for the unfortunate team of two left in the lobby, as they pointed out that only two squads remained based on the screenshot.
